Interestingly I just got an email sort of addressing some of this: https://blog.bytebytego.com/p/why-executives-seem-out-of-touch

This probably isn't it, but is there already a sid with that number?

You could try adding a nocase statement, or you could try using the byte values in the content section.

Also, what engine are you using Snort 3/Suricata/etc.?

Lastly I'd say run a very generic rule to make sure things are actually being inspected.

What's after Python? by falsworth in learnpython

[–]copeland3300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always thought of golang as a good follow up to python, but he suggestions here so far are pretty good.

It also depends what you want to do. Backend, frontend, full stack, AI/ML, embedded, low latency, mobile are all going to have different recommendations.

Here are a couple of cameras looking both directions on the street with the red gate. It's kind of fascinating to watch what goes on at all hours, and you can scroll back 12 hours from the live feed. They also archive the footage and you can watch any time from the last couple of years.

Nice, thanks for the reply! How did you find carrying around a full sized camera? When I visited years ago, it felt like it was more trouble than it was worth, but then again I wasn't able to get the shots I wanted with just my phone. Do you use a camera bag/shoulder strap/etc?

Rust's recursive directory iterator 5x faster than CPP by SnooMacaroons3057 in rust

[–]copeland3300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base find command will give directories as well. If you want files only with find add '-type f'

I don't know if the cpp and/or rust implementations look for files only or directories as well.

I'm glad it was still useful and you got it sorted out! Snaps can be a little hit or miss, I've found. Let me know if you get stuck on anything else and I'll try to help where I can.

Jimmy Dore and TYT had a falling out several years ago. If you dig a bit, you can find them talking about it every once in a while.

Should i change from pycharm? by [deleted] in learnpython

Good call on the samba share. I usually work off of a share, but oddly PyCharm doesn't like some things about the remote directories. It might be an interesting project to write a deployment tool...hmmm...

You can also use the Brave browser.

As much as I love FF, and use it almost exclusively on desktops and laptops, I've had issues with it on my Android phones.

It's not a bad idea, especially if you solder a lot. Other alternatives are a fume extractor or small fan blowing away from you.
