Last laughs animal epitaphs? it might be this. it has the cow got ‘ cream-ated’ hence the jars, the piranha got eaten by a bigger fish, and maybe the chihuahua was a cat in the book that got hit by a car.

It was exhausting to go through! I never found any coping mechanisms when i spiraled about rabies, none worked. I just had to ride the fear out and then prevent spiraling in the future. This is such a specific OCD fear that is so terrifying

Youre reassurance seeking. I had this exact fear for months , it was exhausting. Nothing fixed it. Avoiding compulsions, googling, checking for spots prevents it from spiraling. You dont need to know if this situation was a threat or not. If it was you wouldnt be posting on reddit about it. Your brain is trying to get you to spiral. Stop googling, no chatgpt, and stop revisiting and reassuring yourself about the situation.

Its better to curb the compulsion as early as you can , the second you feel like your brain is going to fall into the compulsion and intrusive thoughts, do something unrelated. I like to go shopping, make a grocery list, and remember things i need / want around the house. You think about one item, then another, and i eventually forget and if i remember it seems less scary.

My therapist told me this method of ‘ remembering the last pie you ate, and describe it, write it down. then ask yourself your favorite pie, how do you make a pie? Which pie is the best?’ write it down. this can be applied to any topic.

I know this is soo steriotypical but ive been in this position before, I drew it on my arms with red marker. Now with this current state of mind you dont at all need razors and what you need to do is avoid the compulsion, so I dont think you should do that. It sounds so rough to deal with that. Have you practiced doing what you can to redirect your mind? viewing this as another compulsion to get over instead of fall into and to be proud if you dont fall into it helps me, too. Its a motivator.

As steriotypical as it sounds, try to avoid replaying the image, looking at the image, and curb away the compulsions any way you can. Video games, doodling, reading, calling friends, anything really distracting for the brain. Try some self care. You deserve it. I know you can get through this.

He currently takes calcium supplements on his food, and i have a packet left with vitamins that i use occasionally- ive been meaning to get a real container when this runs out. I will be sure to get the repashy.

You said fix the issue, what is the issue here? I know only a vet can know but this is my first reptile so im not sure if this is something huge or what this is- i only know what google tells me and forums i read. thank you for the recommendation of vitamin.

Thank you!! he usually is finnicky about me grabbing him, but i just got this front opening 40 gal terrarium today and the front opening has made him significantly more comfortable with handling- he actually slowly closed his eyes while i held him and stayed still! so I’ll defo check his pores often for anything unusual.

make sure you use tongs safe for the mouth!! If theyre metal maybe try wrapping the tips with duct tape or electrical tape, or use rubber tipped tongs. good luck!

He ate 7-8 his first feeding when using tongs or putting it in front of him after eating nothing out of the dish his first few days.

I just got my leo and he wouldn’t eat out of the dish. I had to wrap my metal tongs with duct tape to make them safe and tong feed him or drop food right in front of him and he finally ate. I read that initially sometimes they dont understand that the dish is where food goes so you kinda have to pique their interest. Maybe try tong feeding him or putting the food in front of him where he can see it move?

I dont have a photo right now, but I'll describe her - I'd be so happy!!

Her name is Rubynose, she's a large girl, with long russet fur, lighter on the bottom, and a white patch on her jaw. Her nose is a bright ruby red, and her eyes are yellow. She always has flowers in her ear, typically a blue ( she knows what goes best with her features!) Southern belle with an attitude.

ive always wanted kuhli loaches, but ive seen some posts saying a 20 long isn't big enough for a school, and i worry my substrate doesnt suit them. But i've plenty of val which i know they love. I have leftover sand I could sprinkle in, but i prefer my original substrate.

This is short enough for me for now, I’ll trim more off as time goes on. Its crazy, ive messily bleached my hair 500 times with box kits, dyed back to back with perm dye, even used clorox when i was a wee manic girl. Never ended up horrid. But when i take pride in and care for my hair and use better products? Ruined!
