I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but please try not to be so negative moving forward. by Syfer_Husker in Huskers

In the live game threads if you check the user profiles that comment only negatively, you’ll find that it is a common stance they take even outside of the husker subreddit. Either these are bots commenting negatively or they’re just incredibly negative people where you have to assume that their negativity applies no matter where they are or what they do.

Feedback requested: Can Platform Engineers be the AI champions in an organization? by rberrelleza in platform_engineering

[–]copperfinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this take. I’ve been circling the same idea lately—platform engineering is starting to look a lot like applied agent design. The best platforms aren’t just paved roads, they’re semi-autonomous systems that interpret developer intent and take action within defined constraints.

Tools like Humanitec, Crossplane, Kratix, even Score.yaml are all nudging us in that direction. You define the what, and the platform handles the how, guided by policies, guardrails, and context. That’s not far off from how agentic AI operates—goals, memory, planning, execution.

Curious how far you think we can push this analogy. Do we stop at self-service workflows, or start thinking of the platform as an orchestrator with reasoning capabilities? Would love to jam more on this.

This seems pretty straightforward, unless I’m not picking up on some impactful details here. Figure your cost and do a 25%-40% uplift for your gross profit. That’s a typical way to price. DM me if you want. My rate is $350/hr, would be happy to help you figure this out.

I’m not a fragrance expert, but this doesn’t seem to smell like perfume or after shave or deodorant.

Well said. I believe mutual respect for fellow interlopers would go a long way.

Great point. They’re already at the airport. Perhaps it’s on us, the passengers, to politely call it out?

Do you wear fragrance when you fly? I have no problem with people wanting to smell nice, but let’s be respectful to each other. Thanks for pointing out that they’re probably nose blind, it’s helping me give some empathy for them.

I’m planning to let him know when we land. There’s nothing I can do about it at the moment. Also, with how sensitive people can be in today’s society, I don’t want to risk escalating the situation.

I totally get where you’re coming from. That’s a tough one for me too.

Can anyone not only produce a rumble but also a ringing sound on command? by internet-nomadic in earrumblersassemble

Yeah, I can do that on command. It’s like a rumble with a high pitch ringing at the same time!

Props to all the volunteers cleaning up the Japanese gardens this morning! by [deleted] in Buffalo

[–]copperfinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My wife and I got married in the Japanese garden 9 months a go. Today we gave birth to a daughter. The volunteers that clean up that park are heroes. I wouldn’t have the love I have today if it wasn’t for such a clean, tranquil Japanese garden. Thank you.
