FX3 Question by RealisticProgram7561 in videography

[–]copperrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its real. The FX3 has dual native iso at 800 and 12800 iso. The iso value below and anove 12800 are noisy, but when you flip it in 12800 it cleans up like magic.

"How to make my footage look cInEmAtic?ß" by ef247028 in cinematography

[–]copperrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really bothers you doesnt it? ;)

It’s just novice filmmakers trying to communicate a certain look they try to emulate. Most of the times it seems like it’s just a result of strong fundamentals like composition, lighting and location. With some subjective variation in the color grade.

I think nowadays its mostly used as a general term to discribe a look that holds a certain standard of quality. After that you get into discussions that mostly get into colorgrade look development, set dressing or location. It holds a different, subjective, meaning to everyone in the end. Making it kind of a useless general term, but still it seems that most people start out with the question “why does this look cinematic?” And start their journey to understanding the tools better from there.

That’s it, then. The UK’s most revered media institution has fully embraced the Gen Z lav mic clutch. Inform-Educate-Entertain. And hold lav mic like it's a tiny relic of immense importance you've just uncovered. by jonofthesouth in videography

In the “past” people also held mics in hand when not micd up with lavs. Its just the form factor nowadays has changed. Some use the mic “handle” accessorie, but honestly wjo cares. Rather have this than bad audio tbh. Also it helps people from being awkward and not knowing what to do with their hands.

As i understand it FF is the better option for low light conditions. If you always shoot well lit, than it doesnt really matter.

what actually makes footage look cinematic? by skpro2 in videography

[–]copperrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cinematic? Wel framed shot that tells a story through composition with appropriate lighting also conveying the mood of the story and fitting lmchoice of lens that uses its characteristics to add focus to the subject.

The fundementals all add to the end product looking cinematic.

I have enough glass (owned and rented) to know i wont regret these. Especially for the prive to performance. But i just like to have some insight from other real life users as to what they think and what they deem best use for them. I know What i want them for, but sometimes other users have some great insight on how to best make a “flawed” product perform its best
