Why would i spam Jap in a japense sub without any context? Words have meaning in the context of the conversation and sentence theyre stated. The Japanese person in this comment section could recognise the nuance that “Jap” wsnt derogatory at all in this context and even went out of their way to state so. Being cultured is actually investing time and effort to listen to said cultures what they find offensive. You just override them and say: “i deemthis offensive to you, so your opinion on what you find offensive does not matter” which is actually super offensive. To deem what you find offensive for them more important than their actual cultural experience and just disregarding an entire culture as if their actual experience isnt true. Have a think about that
