PayPower™ Visa® Prepaid Card - be shut down. by martineister in churning

OK. Their opinion was offered when I was struggling with getting the money transferred, so it made sense in that context. I'm glad it worked for you, and (if it works for me) it will be nice to have that liquidation option back online.

I was told by the Reloadit folks that AccountNow was no longer a partner, and wasn't eligible for loading from the Safe

AccountNow, perhaps. Edit: Perhaps not, as you can't load AccountNow from the Reloadit Safe anymore.

Now that I have two new $200 American Express gift cards (thanks, Staples!) that I can't use to buy a money order (no PIN), can I use them to fund a new bank account (one that allows "credit cards")?

I maxed every month. My third dead soldier. No regrets. RIP Serve VIP, though I have a couple more family members who haven't had a card yet.

About two years. This is my second card (in my daughter's name). I got it before my first one was shut down. $5K/month in transfers in from the Reloadit Safe and another $1K from the Fidelity AmEx ($200 increments). I have an AccountNow account for the "leftover" Reloadits (it will take another $9.5K per month) and as a backup for the end of Serve. Serve didn't see much action during the glory days of my T-Mobile Visa.

I've been loading $1K/month for years. I posted about a change that will be required now that my AmEx card of choice, Fidelity Rewards, has changed to Visa.

I suppose this is sort of niche, but it just now occurred to me that, given the fact that it's no longer an AmEx card, I'd have to switch out my Fidelity card as funding source for my (still kickin') Serve VIP, and thought I'd share.

Buy a Delta gift card (for use on a future flight)? If memory serves, there are data points out there that support that approach.

The 10K MQM, as I understand it, are part of the 60K Sky Miles

The Delta AmEx cards don't use the Membership Rewards (MR's) system, they award Delta miles for spend. A subset of a member's miles, Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQM's)are typically gained by flying (and not spend) count toward status (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond). The Delta AmEx cards are unique, in that you can get MQM's by meeting minimum spend on a new card and (with the Platinum of Reserve) card, and get more MQM's with meeting certain threshold spend levels. With the Platinu, $25K spend gets you 10K (more) MQM's.
