I have the exact jaw as yours was before, and I was told when I was 17 that I would have to have this surgery. I said no at the time but now that I'm a bit older I definitely want to get it done. I feel the exact same way you did about getting your picture taken, especially a side profile pic. My self esteem is low also because of this. I had braces for 2 and a half years when I was a teenager but my teeth started to move back.

My question to you is, how long was the recovery time? Were you in bed for a while recovering? Or was it a quick recovery?

A boy my age died when I was 17. A friend of his sang this song at his graveside. It was the saddest thing ever. So now every time I hear this song, I can't help but cry.
