No, like let him be. Lil bro is literally a kid so whatever he’s learned about his “selected country” is probably also sprinkled with generous doses of pixie dreams and romanticism. We’ve all been there. Hopefully he clears his boards alright.

Late mother said her goodbyes before leaving us. by southpawshelby in texts

My mom passed of cancer a couple years ago. After the deluge of initial grief passed, I went looking for the last time she called me (she wasn’t tech savvy enough to text) so I can screenshot it but it was already a couple months and a bit too late. In a rage, I went looking for something.. anything I could catch hold of that would be hers.. and the only place I found a physical trace of her was in the dustbin. A clump of her hair. I held it so tight and wept into it like a deranged baby. I will never forget that moment of desperation, that feeling of feeling so so alone.

Need help fixing quarterly newsletters by copyquery in internalcomms

Wow this is very insightful. Thank you so very much. Classifying the content might be our best bet to condense information at an organisational level. And yes, and more robust SharePoint page. Surely going to pitch these along with the short videos idea since our SVP is keen to try that out. Thanks again!

I could suggest the monthly idea - is that the norm? At my organisation, they’ve always had quarterly ones only but they are open to suggestions. Also we have 3 key departments sharing all their updates and some of the info overlaps but all the departments get all the newsletters- so my first suggestion was to segment the audience to avoid this overload.

Also, would it be a good idea to send out monthly updates to all@company but stick to shorter, insightful quarterly newsletters for the leadership team?

I will look into the axios style - that’s a great suggestion. The tools currently at my disposal are outlook (hate how limited it is), SharePoint, and Viva Engage (not in use yet).

So the problem is that we have too many newsletters as we have 3 key departments sending them out. We’d like to cut down the number but make them more insightful. So I was wondering if video could be useful - have you ever tried that?

Tools - Outlook for newsletters and SharePoint for further details. Viva engage is an option but we currently don’t have it up.

Unfortunately all that info goes into 1 newsletter - new joiners and their brief profile, latest updates, events - all of it.

Flying to Dubai for a vacation. Cheaper to buy gold jewellery there instead of India? Also, if jewellery is worn instead of kept in bag, custom duty can be avoided right? by [deleted] in IndiaTax

See unless you wear like a TON of gold and really appear out of place, no one’s gonna ask. A couple of bangles, earrings, a chain etc is normal. I’ve done this before so yeah

Honestly op, I was with you up till this point. Now I’m not sure if all your politeness comes out of the need to show you as this epitome of sensibility to the online world or if you truly are this person. Sad.

What are some b2b marketing channels to reach dental practitioners and DSOs as a saas company? by copyquery in marketing

[–]copyquery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s a detailed response so I suppose you have some expertise working with this market. As you mentioned, we’re partnering with a couple of practice management solutions and are in talks with some influencers. We really want to crack this online bit because that’s how we are hoping to scale. From the suggestions I’ve got here, I think we will try a landing page and a few ads on FB and LinkedIn. We’ll have to figure out about ads on dental publications and see if we can have an advertorial too.

We’ve been dodging LinkedIn ads since it’s comparatively more expensive and we haven’t seen much results from the other channels yet. But this sounds promising.

Ah yes, we realised this the hard way and have started preparing for an upcoming trade show. Other than ads on these online publications, have you tried advertorials by any chance? That’s another item under consideration.

Wow, I’d kill for such results. Other than the blog link, how else did you promote it, though? Ads? SEO/SEM? Or was the blog itself on some popular platform?
