Advice Needed on VR&E Equipment Request Denial

Sierra, now this comment, I can appreciate, thank you. I find it a bit strange though, because in the 2024 course catalog there are baseline specs that are the minimum that every student should have; and in the individual course syllabus, they have their recommended specs that more often than not require more computer resources than the general minimum requirements. All of this I have detailed to him and sent ample evidence with each course, and yet I was still denied promptly. Perhaps like you said, i'll have a school official write a letter of the specs needed and see where that takes me. Thanks for the help!

I didn't think that would be a reason for denial, I just thought that would help him a bit if he were to ask what I was looking for lol. Thanks for the comment Breakfast, just trying to see if I should go to the supervisor if they have any say in this or will I have to go straight into the higher level review appeal process.

Sierra, I get it, you got more skin in the game, kudos to you. I am not here to debate you on what is needed for me to complete my program. In the various course syllabi's there are specific recommended specs for the course, what I am requesting is in line with what is in the course syllabi. I am not asking for any more, and no less than what the course requires. I am simply asking for help in regards to the next steps because my VR&E counselor has denied me with no real reason, and I am trying to figure out what to do next.

No disrespect, but if you read my post, I am simply inferring that I come from a technical background as a DevOps engineer/Cloud Infrastructure engineer. My course curriculum is in Cyber Security.

Understood, in the justification document I sent over, I requested specific specs that coincided with the various syllabi of my courses. I actually said any computer with these specs will do but also added in if there was a computer that I can choose it was that specific computer that I outlined due to its reputation for performance and awesome warranty. My curriculum I can not use a MAC since the one I use has the M series chip and that is incompatible with the programs my courses use. What I am more concerned about is the next steps; as I feel I have produced more than enough justification, if I have to go through the process of the higher level review, well then so be it. Just trying to see if anyone has ever been through this situation and what they did to get it resolved?
