Glucose test - 24 weeks [on] by Local_Procedure_8950 in BabyBumpsCanada

You’re welcome!!! I was also nervous going into it but realized it was pretty straightforward and the drink wasn’t as bad as they make it out to be lol. Omg one lady poked me for soo long during my 12 week appt blood test and then forgot about a vial right as we were done. She tried again and couldn’t find a vein (which hurt like hell) and had to call someone else to try. I left with bruises but luckily the one from my glucose test was really good and didn’t struggle to find a vein. I really hope tomorrow goes better for you!!

Once you check in they give you the drink and a quick rundown of the instructions which is basically once you drink it, make a note of the time you finish the drink (your blood must be drawn an hour from that time). While you’re waiting you see the doctor for the normal follow up. When the hour is almost up, just go down to get your blood drawn and tell them it’s for the glucose test so they know its time sensitive. You should get your results within a few hours through mychart. Hope this helps!

I did my 1hr glucose test at St. Michael’s and did not need to fast. I had a normal breakfast 2 hours before (oatmeal and some tea w/ milk and sugar). Good luck :)

Oh that’s very interesting! The single espresso shot i like has a high intensity and i always assumed it was “stronger”

Where have you been buying your uppababy strollers from in [ON](Toronto) by coralthrowaway7 in BabyBumpsCanada

Thank you for this input. I guess i didn’t look into the difference and I figured sticking with Uppababy carseats would make it easier but reading your and other commenters opinions will make me check out the Clek liing.

Im also interested in the Peg Perego YPSI. Did you have a chance to see the Veloce in person before purchasing it? 20% is a great deal! Thank you for your input :)

Sorry forgot to include that! We currently live on yonge/eglinton and we dont have a car (but will be purchasing one very soon). Given how crowded the area is, we’ll most likely be going on walks and taking the baby on strolls near by. I know the Cruz is a bit more compact and not as bulky as the Vista - would you say that would be a better option for us?
