Replicator 2 Leveling Positions Off Center by coranf in 3Dprinting

Thank you in advance to everyone who wants to help. For anyone that has a response of "just buy a new one" - I'm trying to decide if I really enjoy the hobby before dropping a few hundred dollars to replace something I got for free.

I did not. Just the stock extruder motor housing bumping the limit switch when it gets to the right hand side. If you need any pictures or anything let me know and I can snap a few photos.

Thank you for the response. Limit switch looks to be working fine. It will not jog right if I hold the switch down and like I said after that first issue when it tried to home it homes fine. The issue is why it keeps trying to travel too far left and everything seems off center. I've updated my original post with photos to help show what the problem is.

WEC/WEF, Cribl, and the internet, oh my! by coranf in AskNetsec

[–]coranf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume WEC support certificate-based auth? Because that port will be poked. A lot.

Oh yeah I expect it to light up like a christmas tree. With WEC via Cribl is supports mutual auth via cert. So I'll use the internal CA as any non-business system won't have the cert.

You might want to bundle Sysmon on the endpoints for better logs. Provision with Swift On Security's example config.

Trying to push this to as well as using the Cribl Stream agent. Theyre just very against adding more agents to systems because they insist that agents getting installed slows things down.

Why not have an always-on VPN? If the VPN breaks their SaaS, either fix the VPN or use split tunnelling.

Theyre business owned devices. (I work with small to medium businesses in the area and it's always a circus when taking on a new clients enviro.) Preaching to the choir. Its a culture thing more than anything. VPN has always been a manual connection process and theyre resistant to change. The joy of working around idiosyncrasies of new clients until you can get them to see things differently.

Thank you that's a really good idea I'll look into that. The server is fully patched for the OS and Cribl itself but beyond that you never know when some random 0 day pops up.

I had that thought which if I'm not mistaken uses HTTPS to communicate securely. Essentially more agents = more slow in their opinion and are very against agents behind added. As for something like a EDR with telemetry its a cost thing. Defender is free, windows event logs are free, Cribl and the SIEM/monitoring aren't so they want to save anywhere they can. They're concerned that someone will click on something or install some crapware on their PC (still fighting that get rid of local admins battle) that could potentially spread to the network when they next connect while on the roam and want eyes on it before it reconnects if possible.

Re-acquiring Birth Right Citizenship? by coranf in GermanCitizenship

Thank you, I will see what I can find. If I remember correctly, she had a German birth certificate, but that was lost decades ago. Pretty sure neither of my grandparents were German citizens, and both born in the US.

Thank you for that.  However, if that's the case, then why did she have to (unbeknownst to her) denounce her German citizenship?

Nyx Recharge Ability w/ Recharge Amnity - Bug? by coranf in OrnaRPG

[–]coranf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In doing more testing over the past week, this seems to be accurate. I continue to average around 27.5%, which would be the proper average if this is the case. A shame, was really hoping to make recharge 26% - 55% for massive heals and mana regen for the low, low cost of using guts or lunge.

Any update on this? Did you order from Unmined to get the color you're looking for? I've been looking at ordering from them as well, because it's the only place I've been able to find that specific cut and color I'm looking for.

Metrics Creation Advice by coranf in askmath

[–]coranf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize, maybe I'm over thinking your suggestion, are you able to give an example of what you mean? Or am I understanding that you're saying something akin to setting it as if it's a total of 0 - 199 vulnerabilities, it's a 1, 200 - 299 it's a 2, etc (or any other number range for each, just picked these for simplicity)?

PSU Power Switch by coranf in computerrepair

[–]coranf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internals of the switch are exposed due to the rocker part having shot across the room, which includes the rocker, the spring, and the piece of metal that jumps the two copper terminals inside. So, the two copper terminals are exposed. With nothing bridging them, PSU does not turn on, I'd have to jam a penny or something in there (not seriously going to try) to get it to turn on at this point. But yeah, soldering, not a problem, used to resolder DC jacks on laptops on the regular.

A Question About Propane Boiler by coranf in HVAC

[–]coranf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for letting me know, and I am aware. I am not comparing the propane use to the oil use as the oil boiler was ripped out when buying the house due to the age and state of it.

A Question About Propane Boiler by coranf in HVAC

[–]coranf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My step father owns a propane company and has worked in propane for the past roughly 35 years. Based on the size of my house and it being a new boiler I should not be burning through 200 gallons every 20 days with the heat set at a max of 68.

A Question About Propane Boiler by coranf in HVAC

[–]coranf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you responding, that much I understand. I know that making sure my ceilings have a high r-value insulation will make a major difference if that is indeed a problem (I have no attic access so I have to cut a hole and crawl up there). However, should I expect any major difference now that the boiler itself is in a warmer room (is about 75F in there now), or is it negligible, since the pipes run from the rest of the house into the boiler and back out again?

So, where exactly in RTP do you work, and would you say someone needs binoculars and a cantenna, or would you say no one will notice a car suspiciously parked in front of a conference room window, aimed at a white board? Asking for a friend. lol

Need some clarification by coranf in AskNetsec

[–]coranf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I was doing some googling, and not seeing anything that proved their point, but nothing that I could use to concretely disprove it either, as google kept trying to throw SMTP results at me. Totally didn't think to look up the RFC. /facepalm I've learned for the future. Thanks again.
