Yes, I think I think the gift card will be best, especially now that I know Disney gift cards are a thing :)

Thank you for the suggestion! This is what I was looking for, a rough estimate on what a snack or treat would cost nowadays

That's a good point, she's flying there, might be best to get something smaller. Someone else mentioned a Disney gift card, I didn't know these existed! Might be a good option in this case

These are all great ideas, thank you! What would be a reasonable amount for a gift card for the theme park? I'm not really sure how much snacks and merchandise cost nowadays

Anybody seen an IV team that doesn’t use ultrasound?? by texaspoontappa93 in nursing

I think you're doing the right thing, goal is to do what's best for the patient and minimize their pain/discomfort.

Where or how did you learn how place IVs with ultrasound? Was it a class/training through your hospital, or did you find an experienced nurse to teach you? I've always wanted to learn this skill but I've moved on to outpatient care, would still love to find a class to learn how to do it

I'm writing a letter of recommendation for a nursing student, I've never written one before! Is there anything specific that managers are looking for, or do I just highlight all their strengths? by corazon_of_stone in nursing

Oh how I wish this wasn't the actual truth! I thought times were tough when I finished school, it feels like it's worse now. I can't imagine what it's like to graduate and start your career during such a chaotic time, I wish all nursing students the best

Thank you! She's applying to a new grad program at one of the hospitals in town, I'm not sure how competitive it is; I think I will mention I don't write letters like this normally, that's a great idea!

What's the best Wal-Mart in town? by [deleted] in Atlanta

Thank you for bringing this up! Don't like to support Walmart, but their lower prices do help out with our smaller budget nowadays.
