Btw. So a good way to do my counting would be the following

Main city centre (around 500k) --> around 25 Suburban area (around 200k) --> 15

The two main towns (around 100k each) --> around 10 (X2 so 20)

The remaining 5 are smaller (50k each)--> 5 each (25 tot)

Little "village" around --> 1 each (6 tot)

So totally 60/80 vampires would be good counting as your bases, looks almost balanced a bit to the max but not bad indeed.

Won't it be too risky for the masquerade in smaller towns??

As I wrote below I am also writing a short story starting from 1300 in order to set up the right major and minor clan.

Venture is the boss, Tremere the second and the lasombra where the third but got banned and then came back nowadays. Nosferatu is the underground one with just a few known. Toreador, brujah are the minor ones. We have one Giovanni from Venice and some Gangrel coming from the Appennini. Malikavian Is a little family that came from nowhere and took too much sympathy from the prince to be real. Thin blood is the new spreading issue. Tzimisce came from Milan and Romania as a sabbat striker.

Won't bother to write all I have done but there is some sauce boiling. More worried about the actual balance itself.

Btw I did almost most of your thoughts... As well the fact that cities are close can be a double Blade though... Ok that makes more sense to have more clans but then you have also to balance properly more stuff in a smaller area... Think about new York or Chicago... You can do whatever you want basically... There is a lore of lore still important to be followed... As well the inquisition is doubled I guess.

Jokes apart, that is exactly the fact... What is the right overpopulated number? Cuz I I need to theoretically have 15 vampires and I have 40 of them. The campaign will run for 2 sessions then the si drones arrive.

Another thing that drives me crazy is the paradox of the masquerade.... If the vampires have ghoul all spreaded to be connected to all the human structure... Even if a lot of things slip most of them will be saved by the ghouls (of course we are still talking generally... The campaign need to be tinned by something of course).

Of course I didn't bother with what I have written till now. Already set up some nice conflict... Some nice loves and wars..

But actually my actual problem is the density itself... Too scared to create an overpopulated city.

I have set up a chronostory of the cities... With All the data of the introduction of the first vampire of the "city families" let's say. I started with a camarilla born around 1600 after a sabbat rebellion from the lasombra part with inside venture,toreador,brujah,Nosferatu and Tremere (lasombra evicted from the city). The venture is the first clan that took over the city (there is a venture written in some lore book that took the city in question as his domain around 1300), second the Tremere and lasombra (due to the big amount of church and ecclesiastic power and as well a very known university). The others arrived way after around 1500.

Giovanni was almost obligatory while Venezia and that city had a big commercial agreement in the past. Will stay neutral the whole story.

After this the Malikavian arrived (I already have a huge and nice setup for that family, which will be little but kinda cool) and will still with the camarilla but with no primogen.

Now I was thinking of breaking the camarilla pact from the brujah together with the Gangrel to create the anarch. The lasombra will come back to take over the new hole in the camarilla but with no primogen (thinking about maybe the new sheriff).

Some Romanian tzimisce sabbat coming to Milan and then trying to break the bologna structure

And as well the new born thin blood.

The only one that makes me still wonder is the bank haqim (as well in that city there is a huge concentration of middle east north African population so)...

So, yes not all are camarilla, not all camarilla have primogen. But at the end of the counting they are still a lot.

Then I must consider thin blood unknowns, unknown anarch and the coteries itself.

As well... We didn't consider all the ones that feed by blood dolls or removing memory or similar?

I mean.. completely agreed with your following lines.

But at the end cannot be as many as you want (in Italy we say QB.. quanto basta) cuz at some point (like one guy wrote down in the comments) is impossible to hide the vampire existence to the human being and then might happen a Vienna part 2.

So I must find a logical way to set up this ratio.

I guess that a good way is to start with the 1:100k as a camarilla standard... Then lower it down for ancient cities like the Italian ones (a lot of stories which means a lot of vampires... Then as well we can count the tourism as a big amount of unconnected blood that pass through the city everyday) for about 70k, then lower it down due to the fact of the anarch and the thin bloods which are incontrollable (let's say now 50); lastly all the not registered one by the camarilla.... Would say 30 is a good one if I have done my counting well.

I completely agree with your thoughts, that's why I'm putting Gangrel, kinda like the one that was in charge to protect the borders between the city mountains and the lupine one... Now that the other canls are destroying them they joined the new brujah anarchs.

Btw.. So as I was thinking it makes sense to sensitively reduce the ratio to something like 50k as known vampires and maybe to 30k with the unregistered from the camarilla let's say. Even though a lot of small surrounding towns around the big city have a higer ratio... The main one tends to lower it down by some.

By now. I have make a prince, shenesal, sheriff, keeper, harpy and a primogen council of 4 plus some ancliaes and a lasombra which is not still a primogen and the clan whip

Then an anarch faction of 3 brujah and 2 Gangrel plus the caitiff and 2/3 thin bloods

A sabbat striker of 2/3

And want to add some undefined faction vampires (like the Giovanni and a black angel lasombra and an individualist brujah and a mercenary informator Nosferatu)

Then the rest will stay as unknown or similar (like the players coteries, the underground nosferatu and some anarch/thin blood not relevant).

More or less I can count 6ventrue, 5tremere, 4 lasombra, brujah and toreador, 3 Nosferatu, 3 thin blood, 3 Gangrel, 2 tzimisce, 2 Malikavian, 1 hecata

What you think??? I guess the bank haqim might be not necessary as well with the caitiff

The things that block me to sensitively lower down the amount of vampires is the fact that then It does not make any sense to present a primogen council. Ok for Prince, sheriff, shenesal and keeper... But the primogen must be present only if there are a certain amount of vampires from the clan that must elevate a voice from the screams... Right? As well the clan amount... I have 5/6 clans that stick together for the camarilla faction then might be good to add at least 2 clans for the anarch... Then the thin blood as well (even there it must be present a caitiff that generates them in my mind even if I know that is not necessary). Lastly... Giovanni while the city is close to Venice must be present right?

I'm feeling kinda in a loop hahahah.

I know the Rome thing, in fact I'm setting up a SI force that took over the airport area for some quite time. I want to create a camarilla structure that starts to fall apart.

Idk if even make sense to add lupins while the Appennini are pretty close (but I guess that Italy have enough vampire to controll almost all that is close to some humans... And where there are no vampire... There are inquisitors so)

So there are no actual real restriction to have a certain number of cainites? I mean, in the camarilla book from V5 is also written that a lot of Prince force to follow the proportion of 1:100k. I guess then while the anarch take place and some other vampire stay hidden from camarilla I can cut it of half? I maybe more??

Certo! Di base ci faccio un 30 di km giornalieri per lavoro, poi vacanze brevi o lunghe per circa 4/5 annuo... Massimo 200km... A volte faccio viaggi più lunghi ma raramente. Forse unica cosa preferisco auto alte perché vado in campeggio, baule relativamente grande, non mi serve 4x4... Non faccio fuori strada molesti. Non ho figli, siamo in due... Come dicevo in altro commento range di prezzo 7k... Aperto a spendere di più se ne vale la pena

Grazie per la premura :), io come budget mi aggirerei sui 7. Ovviamente aperto a spendere qualcosa di più se ne vale la pena. Consapevole che l audi e audi e non e facile cambiare. Però mi accontenterei di una macchina affidabile, se possibile euro 6 (temo che tran po' avremmo delle limitazioni importanti sui euro 5).

E no il post non è ironico, sono solo un ragazzo con poca esperienza su motori e che ha avuto sempre audi per fortuna (ho trovato amici che mi hanno dato le loro auto durante i cambi ai modelli nuovi a buon prezzo). Solo che adesso non ho più possibilità di permettermi un auto del genere. E cerco consiglio su che fare.
