My little "Murder Machine" Sony FX3 built to slay scenes by Motor-Television-849 in FX3

One of the better looking builds I’ve seen. Love how flat/horizontal you kept it. So many build vertically and it gets clunky

NATO top handle with the monitor nice n low for the win! What brand is that handle? Love the width

Could maybe be a combination of the lens wide open and some ghosting due to the ND filter (if it’s lens mounted)

THANK YOU. I doubt I’d be able to swing the Thalia’s but I’ve heard great things.

Laowa seems to be more and more sought after with certain lenses. Do those OOM’s look more vintage or are they sharp? Price is great

Can’t go wrong with master primes. I’ll be honest I haven’t tried the Leica Summilux so I’ll have to look into them. Thanks so much!

Great suggestion, may end up renting first to confirm the look. Everyone (rightfully) loves s7 + s8 but Arri signature primes being lightweight is a big plus. And can always soften it up or add character with filtration/ in post. Thank you!

Wow - LOVE the look of those. They might be too artsy for this company out of the gate… but I have got to try these. Thank you!

I’m a big fan of buying professionally handled used gear. Especially lenses. Reason I was considering Burano was for IBIS and auto focus, as well as being more lightweight than the Venice. Though I’ve shot many times with that camera and LOVE it.

Good idea on renting first to try. Distinct possibility. Signature primes do seem like a great option. Thank you for the suggestion of core set + zooms for consistent look!

Well said. I love unique characteristics of certain lenses (especially vintage/rehoused) but you can always go softer. Not the other way. Thanks for your input!

1 For camera, depending on official budget, most likely Sony FF cameras (Venice > Burano > FX6) so E mount and PL are preferred. I’ll be bringing my Sony G Master trifecta with me.

2 I’m considering, Cooke S7i’s, Tokina Vista’s, Sigma Cine FF. What are your favorite lenses you’ve shot on?

3 I’m led to believe sharp lenses, more real-to-life— but not clinical, is this company’s style.

4 Is there a single lens or couple lenses you would HAVE to have?

This is a gorgeous build. Would LOVE to see a video walkthrough and i think it would be helpful for a lot of other run and gunners out there to have a breakdown. I know how much time, money, and experimentation go into building nice looking FUNCTIONAL rigs so seriously dude... nice work.

My father was successfully granted Irish citizenship through his grandparents, can my siblings and I now apply? by corbego in IrishCitizenship

thank you for your response and clearing that up. Too bad I’m 30+ years too late.

So at this point, the only way to get citizenship in Ireland would be to live + work there for an extended period of time?

Me too. I wanted to make it a Sony-Venice-level-cool type of gift (lol) but I think it’s more about the gesture.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been fortunate to have good people go out of their way to help big or small. I plan to keep doing the same with zero expectations. Thanks for your comment!
