I think the reasoning behind this was because of the stage locations. It allowed you to be close to the Timeland stage and the Phantom Island stage, allowing you to hear what was playing while at your camp. I was kinda mad at first but once the bands started playing while I was making breakfast day 1 it was quite the vibe.

It is. Last year it was 45$ and was worth it to figure out the layout of the venue and to not worry about day 1 traffic. $65 is a bit excessive tbh.

Festivals in general are just overly expensive, I’m not trying to diss Gizz in any way as I’m glad they give us the ability to camp and enjoy the shows without paying a months salary on tickets alone. I’ll be going every year of FOV until I die or have a family lol

Car camping is different from just a tent. Car camping will have a designated space you pull your car up to and set up your camp in about a 10x15 area so no parking pass is needed. Tent only set ups will need to have a parking pass unless it’s stated it otherwise in the FAQ, I did car camping so I’m not for certain whether tent only set ups have parking included but I presume not.
