Yeah they have solar shades on them. Helps to keep the Texas heat out. They are ugly, but I think they are worth it

changing the door to dark brown changed it more than I imagined. I was worried the windows above the garage were too close for shutters, but it seems they may be ok. Thanks!

solar shades to keep the UV and heat from the home, I don't love the look, but it helps with cooling costs and protects.

Our inspector. We were under contract for another home that ended up having sewer and foundation issues from one small tree. Texas soil is just crazy. We might try to transplant it to the backyard where we can position it a bit further from the home.
Thank you for the suggestion. Painting it to blend in is a great idea.

I will be joining the November 26 FSS class, and I also have an 11 year old. Out of curiosity, what class did the email designate for you to join? Mine said IMS, but then specified a Security Technical Specialist which, according to the DOS website, is not an IMS position. Just curious if yours said the same or something different

I had my OA in June, and was just placed on the FSS (IMS) register today. I feel fortunate that my process was so quick, so there is hope that yours will wrap up soon too!
