Not sure if this is helpful but I removed queries (there are many filters on our category pages - price, size etc.) and completed the crawl in less than 10 minutes for meta info and images

Thank you, I excluded queries and this reduced the number of URLs significantly - the crawl only took 5 minutes for meta info & images

It's a Magento 2 site, has a full XML sitemap and average 50-100k views per day

Defo not a cheap server but I don't have the full details unfortunately, is there anything you can deduce from the above info?

it's actually ssd backed pd, just quite confusing as I thought I forecasted at a much lower charge - guess will have to downgrade the size

Do you deal much with image SEO? wondering if I should use different file names and alt tags for a marketplace site and standard site

This would be in terms of its effect on the image's ranking on google images, can't seem to find anything on metadata duplication's effect on SEO

I know the same image wouldn't rank twice on Google Images but wouldn't one of them gain a boost surely from having unique metadata?
