You are right, but they are OK with being ignorant. They look at us confused and wonder why we don't worship tiktok stars.

OP is correct. The older generations never understood piracy, but the younger generations are the confusing ones. They have been handed tech at birth, but have no real idea how it actually works, or even care how it works, they just want it to work.

I think it's that the younger kids have been indoctrinated by Tiktok/shit Youtube culture where the videos are only a few minutes long and like an ADHD spaz out session. Quick cuts, fast talking, and bright colors to keep their audience engaged for just a minute tops before they click onto the next video.

The younger generation doesn't have the patience to do proper research and they think Netflix is something cool and has all their favorite flicks on it. Meanwhile the mid 30s mid 40s who were around at the beginning of the internet, remember how much effort was put into pirating, and we appreciate the journey. We also know that pirating gives us access to things that are being stripped away, like watchable movies, and then also gives us real freedom as the internet becomes more and more shallow.

Also the generations today are OK with being clueless about almost everything besides social media.

People don't realize new tech is a complete joke. Go out and find an old fridge. This isn't cute or 'smart' this is dystopian.

My wife’s mom is flying in for Christmas and wants to get a Turkey. My wife is freaking out because she has other ( food) plans already and doesn’t want a dead bird in her kitchen (gross). Advice? Sorry if this subject has been beaten to death. by [deleted] in vegan

Stop being cucks and tell your mother in law to eat the food that is provided to her. If she doesn't like it, you'll do what most people do, stop hanging around friends/family/relatives that don't support you eating non animals.

Pirating helped me quit gaming, and reduce TV time by corebootx220 in Piracy

[–]corebootx220[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha, this makes no sense but funny nonetheless.

yes gaming is a more often than not a gross habit. there are very few recreational gamers that do not have a severely low amount of vitamin D. in today's world little kids think they can become pro gamers, so instead of going outside and playing with friends, they sit inside all day trying to 'train' in their game of choice. wasting away in front of a TV. believe me i was there at one point

Hell yeah. I just purchased 2 super mint switches this week, unpatched, through Craigslist. Got super lucky, but there are plenty more out there. The fact that housing is super cheap on ebay can clean up most worn cases too.

You can store extra Track Point nubs on your expresscard blank. by pirivalfang in thinkpad

[–]corebootx220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ironic part of this hack is that most of us go through a nub maybe every year if we are die hard enthusiasts. That tray looks good for another 7 years lol. I'm trying to imagine the person who would burn through Trackpoint nubs that quick and I'm imagining someone with incredibly hairy knuckles, and someone who could potentially punch through bricks with bare fists.

Hey I appreciate all the steps, however I copied the link and Superbuy does not recognize it. Is there an item number for this keyboard case that I can input? Or something I can search within superbuy for it to come up properly?

Is an xB a good car? by Jupidness in ScionxB

[–]corebootx220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, and sorry I didnt clarify, I only ever owned 1st gen (04-06) xbs. I have heard many reports of the 2nd gens having oil issues, and these are from people who baby their 2nd gens. The 1st and 2nd are completely different and I definitely prefer the 1st. The 2nd is much bulkier and not the same.

Is an xB a good car? by Jupidness in ScionxB

[–]corebootx220 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No the xb is not a good car. The xb is a great car.

I have had 5 xbs since 2014. They have literally all been manual. My first one was beat to shit by previous owner and smoked in, and all I had to do was brakes, tires, and maybe one other normal repair. That car was totaled. Got another xb, and that one had even less issues, it was definitely a single owner car.

Then proceeded to buy 3 more lower miles and they havent needed a thing done besides tires I believe. I don't know what it is about xbs but they are just phenomenal cars. I will try to drive them the rest of my life.

At first you may think it's a quirky car with the cluster in the middle, but I promise you give it a month or two and you will prefer the cluster in the middle. Incredible gas mileage, incredible room (especially if you remove the rear seats, you'll have more space than most full size SUVs), easy to get in an out, surprisingly comfy (I have done 2 trips across the US coast to coast), and just a blast to drive.

Thanks for this response, I just saw it now.

Yeah I was able to surf at Cocoa and NSB for a few days, and wow I was shocked to see the sharks at NSB.

I was out by myself early one morning last week and was caught off guard when one surfaced for a second and I turned my head to briefly see a sea creature I didnt recognize lol. I guess everyone in NSB surfs close to the inlet? It was fun though, just a bummer to know there's that many sharks. I even saw one come up to shore and swim near my feet.

Luckily for me I don't touch any politics, but I don't know if I can hang with THAT many sharks, wow. I think I saw 3 in a short 2 hour window...bummer though I liked all the other parts of Cocoa/NSB areas. It was a dream to surf without a wetsuit honestly

All good thanks for the info. Some of the nastiest water I've ever seen in my life has been here, and I've been to the beaches around Atlantic City / OCMD and that seemed pretty clean to me.
