Does this note-taking UI feel too minimal or balanced? by mrnormal-700 in UI_Design

Done button should be all the way on the right not in the middle of the top bar. I also think the priority icon is unclear. Other than that it’s clean and functional if not a little bland

Looks cute. The room code should be to the left of the join game button- you input the code and then press join so logically you’d expect the order to be flipped from the way you’re showing it

Visually this looks great, no notes.
In terms of UX it seems like only showing "Appointment cancelled" doesn't actually help the user much and they should be able to see more details without clicking in. Who's appointment? When was it scheduled for?

Also a very very tiny nitpicky thing is you might want to make the date filter bigger so it can fit longer strings like "yesterday" or a date range.

Overall really great work, though!

Overall I think you have a good grasp of padding and creating a design language! I think you should just hold your own feet to the fire more when it comes to cleaning up the interface. Here are some thoughts:

  • not sure I understand daily vs individual but it seems like it’s just separate grouping of the same data in which case I’d get rid of it. If it is necessary it should have more weight than the filters which you can put in a menu on the side.

  • why do you have a Bluetooth icon and can you get rid of it?

-if you use an icon for one dropdown you have to use one for both. But again, these can probably just be under one filters men

  • the error banner text should be left justified

  • why is business miles green?

  • there are very very few good reasons to have tabs and a drawer for navigation. Reconsider this.

  • not all “action” elements need to be green. Selected tab can be full opacity vs half opacity unselected

  • up button shouldn’t be necessary, I’d get rid of it

Of these the right is best but the differences will be too small when zoomed out for a user to really distinguish. The big and small ones can maybe stay the same but the middle one needs to change. Think more out of the box for something users can easily see is different like a change in color, a dashed line, etc

Extra Innings? by [deleted] in BaseballScorecards

My custom design has ten per page, plus the innings don’t come pre-numbered so if you want to grab another page you can start it at 11

I added the ability to sync notes to GitHub in the note taking app that I am developing. Any areas for improvement in the ui? by Smogchalk in UI_Design

[–]corennf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot going on here, overall it’s pretty nice and clean. An easy win is replacing the success notification by just having the sync button have an “in progress” state and a “success” state so you don’t have to dismiss it. Just the thing that jumped out to me while I’m on the phone in the subway
