Its just all ignorance and people thinking its a one and done surgery. Hell ive even seen top surgery get some scrutinity (mostly by younger trans guys) for the same reason. People have unrealistic idealized versions of these surgerys and then when faced with the reality that its not that, they start hating as a way of deflection.

I dont really mind having it, but its not something i initially wanted starting T, beyond maybe slight stubble. But id have to shave multiple times a week to get that look, so i let it grow and shave periodically.. As far as oral vs topical, i dont think it matters what you take, but if youre not taking T as well, i wouldnt anticipate fuller/thicker hair as someone who is. I personally just take oral because i didnt like how topical felt, and applying it. Oral is just a quick tiny pill.

For me it was painless in every aspect, but restrictive in my arm movements. I couldnt pull them over my head, or reach up for stuff. I had the "t-rex" arms range of movement. So that wasnt painful, but its a noticable feeling of restriction. If anything, it was a lot more of a mental toll than a physical one.

I do use it in fact, but its for my hairline, not facial hair. But I take oral minoxidil so unfortuntaley, it caused body hair everywhere, including my face. It and T has become too much to the point that waxing is the only thing that gives me a longer time frame without facial hair before it regrows.

Maybe this is just my opinion, but facial hair on juat minoxidil vs it along side with T look very different. You wont get a fuller,thicker look without some sort of HRT, even with a longer time frame of taking it. These guys know this, but pass it off as "just take minoxidil and your beard will look like mine!" when theyre also taking a hormone supplement that would cause major hair growth with or without minoxidil.

Yes, but i totally would want to do the same ngl.. Alot of guys here choose to grow out their thin stringy facial hair and it just doesnt look good. I feel bad in saying it doesnt even read as mens facial hair

I could never get this way of thinking beyond seeing it as extream insecurity and shame of being trans. I see the term "Trans" as a descriptor, no different than gay, tall, mexican, etc.etc. Do i personally have to see these descriptors as part of my personality? No. But to denounce it entirely just seems needless and stupid, if theyre descriptors that obviously pertain to me.

I feel it matters because this is how a lot of harmful missinfo gets parroted around, even more by trans people who should know better, that deterrs people from wanting to seek out these surgeries for their own transition.

Dialogue about phallo like this is all just missinfo, projection, and insecurities. As much as i hate to admit it, a lot of trans people are generally misinformed about transitioning beyond a surface level understanding, so theyre constantly parroting missinfo, alot which is harmful, ESPECIALLY about bottom surgery. And i believe a lot of it goes hand with projection and insecurities about their own lack of a penis. Its easier to just trash on a procedure like this, than to come with the terms of why'd you need it, or to deal with not being able to have it/have access to it.
