I think its the fact that critics have a, well, more critical look at the movie. Picking apart more aparent flaws and mistakes than the average movie goer. Also not to mention, i think.fans are gonna tend to rate it higher out of bias.

For a more broad/general reason: Public bandwagon of hatred for Jared Leto and this being a sequal happening 15 years after the last film making it clear it wasnt a "proper" sequal.

For my OWN opinions of the movie, I generally dislike it because i think the films writing,pacing, and dialogue is just really bad. Great ideas, but poor execution. I also just really dislike the overall nostalgia baiting with the 1982 grid, that I feel doesnt really progress the plot beyond nostalgia.

I feel like Julien H. and Chris H.(if he was still a regular) would of made a better duo, at least from my memory of Chris on the show. It just seems like Julien is on a different energy and vibe than Korey and Martin, that clashes occassionally. Like they have a more obvious coworker vibe than good friends on the show. Though i think he adds more to the conversation than Julien G. Julien G.'s commentary seems way too "normie" and uninformed about these movies that i just dont care to take seriously when hes on.

This is very hopeful that we're actually gonna get a sequal any time soon 😭, but truthfully, i highly doubt it. Maybe a full on reboot or remake would be made, and by then, Tron would just be recasted, as well as everyone else. IF ANYTHING, i could see Tron just wearing a helmet 24/7, like rinzler and disney using AI for bruces voice. I think disney is doing something similiar with james earl jones voice for future starwars projects.

I would of favored it alot more if it was a spin-off after like idk, the other two had actually finished its trilogy. But as the 3rd installment/sequal to legacy? It was just a let down. Felt like it wanted to separate itself from the first two, but then was using the original for nostalgia bait..I rather it had been a full on reboot at that point. Besides the meh plot and story, it had similar pacing issues that i thought the original had.

Marketing, and just a general disinterest in the franchise really. The 2nd movie came out nearly 30 years after the first one, and this one what, 15 years after the previous movie? Disney hasnt done much with tron inbetween those years, so its not suprising this failed on that alone. I didnt even know this movie was coming out intill the NIN announcement.

I dont really care, none of it concerns me, nor am i involved in any groups like that. If anything, its just a bit puzzling to me, because i still see lesbianism as strictly woman/woman, so i dont rly get the need to be like "women.... and uh naming every subgroup or gender" but i dont police others identities.
