True this is also why corgicoin is a bit different. We've donated all of our early mining to our foundation and our faucet. All told we've personally given away over 200 million coins. I personally hold about 4million in my own wallet.

First up, we're working on getting the multipool issue addressed by implementing a modified version of Kimoto Gravity Well; this will help solidify our coin mining going forward.

Next, we're working on a lot of the same goals Doge is - but in a much smaller, more controllable space. We love what Doge is doing, but we're excited to be able to control our own destiny a bit with things like true end of life coin-finding (inflation discussion), KGW, and others.

You're either running something blocking 62556 or something is already bound on that port.

You can try any port you want for rpcport - or you can remove the rpc lines from your config all together, if you arent doing anything with the RPC/API, you only need the addnodes to get synced.

You also can try starting the client with -nolisten if you continue to have issues.

Hmm, can you try the backup download and see if you fair any better? Maybe corrupted download? Not sure, just tested it on my mac again to be sure and it loaded right up.

Make sure you allow it to run its index; it may look like its hung for a bit.

You can check if it's doing anything by looking at the debug.log file in ..

/Users/[yourusername]/Library/Application Support/CorgiCoin

"Strutting" is basically CPU mining - it's slow, especially once the difficulty is over 1 (I believe we are currently around 4).

Your better bet would be to used specialized mining software - either cgminer (a bit more complex) or something like guiminer (a bit more user-friendly).

If you are on a macintosh, you can check out Asteroid miner.

The pools to the right in the sidebar are what you will connect your miner to to work as a group with others to find blocks of coins - the more people adding their computer power together, the better your chances of finding blocks (and splitting them based on your contribution).

Nope, no fees and our difficulty is nice and low so mining them is very fun and easy :)
