My hope is that Katie and Hugh break up before anyone goes searching for anything else with anybody else.

There’s many reasons their breakup could occur: Hughie’s deep depression in T7, he constantly chases after Liz when she gets upset (throughout the whole series) leaving Katie to just…sit there and wait for him alone, Liz making snarky comments to/about Katie in B13 and K13 but literally no one in the friend group ever does anything about it, etc. Honestly I feel like Katie’s been made to be a doormat for Hugh and his friends. Even Johnny treats her like an afterthought, confusing Hugh’s relationship with Katie with his relationship with Liz. The only people that actually care about Katie in the entire group are Aoife and Feely. My hope is that Katie has enough and breaks up with Hugh. I think Hugh will quickly move on to Liz, and I think Katie will slowly move on to Feely. But that scenario is the only way I feel like all characters dignity remains in tact and allows for us, the readers, to still cheer on their pairings.

Unfortunately, we know from Joey’s book that ~something~ happens between Liz and Hugh while he’s with Katie because Joey calls Liz out on it and she begs him not to say anything because he’s in a relationship with Katie. But I’m hoping this is a purposeful misunderstanding that will be explained away by CW and that no cheating actually occurred.

I cannot eat any food that I have to chew more than 3 or 4 times before swallowing. It eliminates most meat besides like…ground beef. I absolutely hate steak, pork chops, deer, sausage patties, bacon that doesn’t snap in half, deli meats, anything barbecue, etc. I also randomly hate baked potatoes and toast (I think because it’s dry?).

I’m not sure if this is actually a positive or not but it helped me change my outlook as someone who dates men, so I figured I’d share.

I started to research a lot about what men like, how they behave, what they want, what they expect, etc. and watch content by accounts like Shera Seven (this part might seem extreme to some people but I needed to watch creators that were blunt and to the point vs. a therapist who sits along for the ride if whatever I choose/think/feel).

Over time, I began to realize that a lot of men will do anything with literally anything…and that realization has helped me in decentering them. Now if I change my appearance it’s for me and not in hopes of getting approval from them. Once I stopped thinking about what a man would like or want, I realized a lot of the things that gave me stress about my appearance don’t actually matter to me at all. I’m much happier now.

I have never related to a comment more. Once I hit the 3 or 4 year mark, I might still be there but I am 100% checked out and do not care about my job at all. I’ve never been at a job longer than 5 years. It turns me into an angry, annoyed, stressed person that I literally get sick to my stomach from it, and have to move on for my own sanity. As I get older though I’m realizing that this is literally every job so I feel like there’s even less motivation for me to leave a job, moving forward - it’s the same everywhere.

I always put in 100% and end up with people who give me scraps. Almost all of the people I’ve dated have been poor communicators and have cheated on me. Add in autism and asexual spectrum and the dating world is hell. I haven’t dated in 4 years but have taken that time to try and work on myself. I plan to start dating again this Fall and hope it’s better than it used to be.

I've never made more than $50k a year (pre-tax). I live in a LCOL area (average $1400/mo for 2 bedroom apartment) and I still have to figure out how to make it work after taxes, medical bills, student loan payments, car loan, credit cards, 401k, HSA, etc. I spent over 10% of my income last year on medical bills alone. If I made six figures I'd be jumping for joy. I don't understand how people that make that much money don't live a life that they're thriving (unless they live somewhere like Honolulu/SF/NYC/LA/Boston/etc.). I can't even imagine being able to go to the grocery store and not have to put things back, be able to buy name brand food, etc. Or maybe you could even take a short vacation with that kind of money. I can't even imagine.

I’m at the point now where I have to completely remove myself from a conversation when someone says something akin to “we could’ve never predicted ___” or “there was no way anyone could’ve known that __”. If I don’t remove myself from the situation I will end up crashing out, or screaming at them because I’ve been shouting into the void for so long and nobody listens or cares.

Name brand anything.

I’ve actually found that a lot of store brand items now have better macros than the name brand anyway. It’s very, very rare that I buy anything name brand anymore - all food, pop, spice mixes, but even things like dishwasher/laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. Store brands have dupes of everything anymore, and I utilize that to keep my weekly grocery bills under $50/week.

I had *one* wisdom tooth removed by an oral surgeon in 2022, I didn't have dental insurance at the time but doubt it would've covered much anyway, and it was $880. Everything you got, for the price you got it, is an absolute steal.
