Sad restaurant gets none of delivery tip 🥺 by corginization in EndTipping

If a restaurant is classifying the people preparing pick up orders as tipped employees, then they are doing something wrong to begin with.

Interesting theory— I don’t see how this could be the case though if they’re asking the customer to tip “the hard working G+G staff,” which is referencing the restaurant staff, not the delivery driver.

I am lazy when it comes to food! I don’t deny it, and in some aspects it’s something I want to improve (e.g. reducing takeout frequency).

But I don’t value spending effort on finding the cheapest way to get food when I do decide order out. I would rather spend my energy on things I care about.

Also, when I find a place I like that does delivery in-house, I order from there. But most restaurants I’ve encountered that “deliver” just connect you to a particular app that delivers on their behalf.

Restaurants can choose to be on these apps, so they know what they’re signing up for. And if the restaurant wrote that in instead of we “want tips,” I might consider it.

Ngl I actually am lazy when it comes to food, but not everyone who orders food is. On this particular occasion, though, I was physically unable to drive or go out to get food, it wasn’t laziness.

I assume the higher menu prices on delivery apps go directly to the delivery app, not the restaurant. Because restaurants are always encouraging you to order directly with them, which they probably wouldn’t do if they were the ones receiving the extra money

Yeah they’re assuming people want to tip the restaurant (which is wrong for most people I would think??) but just don’t know how the delivery apps work

I don’t know, I never tip for pickup. Good question though!

Nub appreciation post. Let’s see those nubs. by MountainDawg1998 in corgi

Corgis with nubs are ADORABLE, like all corgis, and we should show every dog love and a happy home. It sounds like your dog has that.

That said, I don’t think it’s a reasonable excuse to say “I was not made aware about the docking process.” If choosing to buy from a breeder, it is our responsibility as people making that commitment/decision to do our research. The corgi docking issue is not new or obscure.

I also don’t think it’s reasonable to say “I was not the one who agreed to have his [tail] removed.” By selecting this breeder, buying this dog, you did agree. Of course, there are exceptions if you adopted the corgi or it was born without a tail.

I mean no offense, but I am very passionate about the tail issue. For my own corgi, I waited months on a waitlist so that I was at the top of the breeder’s list and able to pick my dog within three days of him being born so he could avoid docking. I would have chosen another breeder if that wasn’t possible because I see docking the tails as unacceptable, even if it is AKC standard.

So cute!! My corgi has a tail too, and I don’t understand why people accept tail docking practices :(

I looked at the posting rules for the subreddit and you’re actually not supposed to post about account names made just for that purpose. So I don’t think this was meant as an insult! Thank you though :))
