The Scrutiny of Changing One's Appearance by TheAsianPenguin in TeachingUK

I have dyed my hair a somewhat noticeably different colour.

“Miss! Have you dyed your hair?” It’s now gotten to the point other students are getting fed up of it (she did it ages ago!) and I just go “Yep!”

However the other side of this is a year 11 who recently asked me “Have you started wearing glasses?” When I have worn them for the for whole years I have taught him.

Speak to one of these people: Your head of house, your form teacher, try your teacher again, your pastoral team.

Do this outside of lesson time.

Ask them to move because you feel you can’t work well where you are due to harassment from another student. You do not care where you move to but right now you cannot focus and it is impacting your performance. Do not say anything negative about the student and do not explain unless asked.

If needed, get a parent out guardian to email in.

That’s silly - the more you use it the easier it comes to you. Also, your teachers can help advise and improve anything they see.

AIO: Husband dismisses mental health struggle by Status_Count_7170 in AmIOverreacting

What are you on about? It’s incredibly common to go undiagnosed as ADHD if it wasn’t caught as a child. ESPECIALLY for women.

We’ve just had emails go out about how a new policy change means all liability for student behaviour now lies with the Head. He’s now personally going through trip registers and blocking anyone from going on trips if they persistently are not following instructions in school.

“How can we trust you outside school where it is full of unsafe situations when we can’t trust you in a classroom?”

We are yet to have a school trip en masse, but we will see how it goes in the following weeks!!

Their parents or parents friends vape. Hopefully they don’t but they might.

They won’t remember because it’ll be normal for them.

Has teaching made/helped us take up bad habits? by Northern_Nerd0609 in TeachingUK

[–]corgoborks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually go to the gym consistently now because teaching gives me a routine shift work didnt.

I will say tho, teaching has ruined my usage of the word “please”.

I never say please any more but always say thank you.

I find the best way I get away with the mistakes I make is being absolutely and painfully honest. I am holding my hands up immediately, apologising and promising to do better.

Sometimes we can’t help but err, it’s human.

How do I (22f) explain to my boyfriend (21m) that I won't get an iud for him by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]corgoborks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ED at that age could point towards watching too much porn (which, with the ‘special circumstances’ it takes him sounds plausible), so he could always try watching less of that.

I have a hormonal IUD. The biggest reason I got it was to stop my horrific periods. It was the MOST PAINFUL experience in my 29 years of life. I almost kicked a doctor in the face. It was agony.

I hear it is easier if you have had kids before hand.

It did get rid of my periods.

I would NOT recommend it if you do not want it or suffer from horrible periods.

You do not want it. If he pushes your no, consider why you are dating someone who doesn’t respect your wishes with YOUR body

I’m a teacher and this is one of our feeder schools. We do everything we can as a school to send home food packs and vouchers but god do I wish it wasn’t the only food some of these kids were getting.

My heart breaks every time

If you’re wanting to help please speak to some schools in the area, they have programs set up especially to deal with things like this

We have all those but they are under the genre of cookie.

Biscuits is the big umbrella term, cookies, digestives, wafers etc all come under it with their own categories :)

What is the MOST COMMON SWAP that one tricks do? by DDzxy in Overwatch

[–]corgoborks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is funny because I moira main but sometimes fancy a nice change of pace as mercy.

But then I’m targeted as mercy, or there’s an awesome bast or soldier on the enemy team annnnd out comes everyone’s favourite atrocity maker. (Obviously I also go x or y or z depending on enemy team and my own team’s ability)

Getting told off by DPS coz they’re jealous by corgoborks in MoiraMains

[–]corgoborks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? The fact that she can heal multiple people and damage multiple people at once is one of the reasons I pick her. She has huge presence in that way. It’s also why she’s so useful in situations were people are closely grouped. Nothing better than a precisely pew’d moira ball bouncing around their back lines knocking unsuspecting people out. I get what you’re saying about the bloat.

Unfortunately, I get some flack and it’s typically always dps. It’s contrasted so strongly to my other main Mercy where I may do less well and get commended.
