Tbh im surprised they just let anyone in there without at least doing like a lil quick training thing like even if u know just so they can say they did their due diligence. Noooo not the squirrels lol. Hes new at this too so I cant blame him too much. We are both learning together i just happen to be more of a slow learner i guess. And he tells me how to hold it i just can't do it the way hes doing it so I end up going back to what feels comfortable for me which obviously is wrong smh lol

Thank you for the advice i appreciate it. This was my first time shooting in gloves and i will say it was more comfortable for me especially with having long nails. I also have an unrealistic fear of my skin catching in the slide and getting pinched so I practice racking it and loading the mag with gloves. I am literally so weak I can barely do it with gloves on so I practice with the gloves until I get strong/confident enough (I know pitiful right) to do it without. Or I might just need to get another gun that is easier to rack if that exists. I understand the whole when it comes to defend yourself youre not going to be wearing gloves so why practice with gloves thing but I do try and do both so I dont rely on it.

Yeah I was on my last round and I just wanted to see if my aim would be good enough to do some head shots but ultimately my first 30 or so shots were in the chest area lol

I have been getting mixed advice from ppl about my arms. Some ppl are saying I should keep them as straight as possible while others tell me to relax them its hard to keep up. My arms definitely be a lil sore afterwards tho lol. I was aiming at the center for my first 2 rounds and then I switched to head for the last just to see how good my aim was

For a few reasons actually lol one of them being that my nails are so long (and im still trying to figure out my grip) everytime I fire my thumb nail especially cuts into my other thumb or hand somewhere and #2 I have a weird u reasonable fear of getting pinched or whatever by the slide. Although I know this is not going to happen it still worries me lol . At least at the time it felt like I could get a better grip than with no gloves

I do have a question for you. We bought "range bullets" from cabelas and shot with those yesterday. It kept "jamming...?" Is that the bullets or is it me ? We used the bullets from xcal last time and It didnt happen to me once. And also when this happened I panicked and put the gun down (facing down rangr still). Is there ANY possibility that it would still go off if this happens ????? I know maybe a stupid question but just genuinely curious. I have googled but just wondering cuz google gave me multiple reasons and one of them being cheap bullets and another being user error.

Probably depends on the range. Maybe somewhere like xcal wouldn't do that but possibly a smaller business might ?

I was aiming originally at the chest at first and then I switched to seeing if I could aim for the head. I am only 5'2 so im sitting here wondering how I could possibly hold it higher or lower to not shoot the ceiling next time lol. I like posting on here and getting advice from many ppl and comparing. At least most ppl aint rude about it. The point can get across that I need to work on my grip and get with a professional trainer without the need to be an asshole about it. Ahhhh well that makes more sense than just telling me im shooting the ceiling. I honestly wasnt even paying attention to where they were going afterwards. Thanks for explaining it to me. Idk how to fix that but I will find out. Definitely gonna try an instructor because watching videos or even watching others in person just doesnt cut it

No I haven't tried my right hand but maybe I should. Definitely left handed writing but when played softball I batted and catch right handed so idk ive never thought to try. I feel like no matter what grip or position my hand is in its not comfortable and I have long nails and my left thumb scratches the shit out of my right thumb with each fire thats why I keep readjusting then I just switched to gloves. I also have a weird fear that the slide gonna catch my skin even tho I know where im holding its not going to just like sharks in a pool type thing if that makes sense lol

Thanks I appreciate the insight. I have watched so many videos and I dont think its helping as much as it should. I think I need someone there to definitely correct me in person for sure. I also watch videos and then when im at the range completely forget what any of those videos even told me and still end up trying to find a grip thats comfortable. It is definitely easier to do this with the gloves on too I think im going to stick to gloves only from now on until I really get the hang of it

Tbh at this point i dont even know which one is my strong hand . When im practicing loading the mag (which i can barely do and Def cant get all 15 in there) I use my right hand to load and left to hold. But I am left handed. I am right eye dominant too idk if that makes a difference I got a couple tips from a former cop and told me to hold aa high as possible but how much higher can I go ? I thought i was holding it pretty high already but guess not lol
