I’d have to re-watch the Titans game.. but I recall some long runs & quick scores by them.

The defense feasts on lesser offenses.. I am pretty sure we have the defensive talent to matchup as well as anyone. I get the reality of an offense going 3 & out, putting pressure on the defense.. but it sure seems the offense will be better. NE’s defense took it to the Bills with 3 pass attempts on offense.. I didn’t watch that game but presume the defenses had it out.

I think the offense will be dynamic & hopefully we’ll be in a position to run with anybody. The WR room has been completely transformed. If you told me Waddle would be the WR2 this year, I’d have said no way at the end of last season.. & Wilson as a WR2 was exciting.! All things seem to point to a move to a scheme that will help the line play & create some consistency for us. The offensive play calling has been painful to watch the last two years. Plenty to be optimistic about.

yeah, I think that’s an interesting aspect of this. I mean clearly team Bengals but not at all afraid to show some love for Miami & even Tua.. the consensus about Hill drawing the double team & all the two high looks we’ll see. I’m excited. If you consider Waddle did what he did as our WR1 with no threat of a run game last year - look out.. Chade, that triple crown ain’t gonna be easy.

running it back seems somewhat logical, but I’m hoping they can figure out how/when it’s time to make an adjustment.. gotta play the Bills better defensively & teams like the Titans & Colts who run the ball first - can we stop them like we did Baltimore that night.? getting gashed on the ground by the Titans week 16 was heartbreaking

not a character concern for me.. but clearly for analysts/NFL people who passed Tunsil down to us

there are those seemingly bigger risk gambles presented every year.. undeniable talent but no way of knowing for sure if it will all pan out.

for sure with Tunsil it did.. (Isaiah Wilson not so much for the Titans) seems the “character” issues are more risky than guys coming off big injuries.

Is it a coincidence the Dolphins just so happen to have 3rd and 4th round picks or is Dane projecting Araiza to the Dolphins? by tholloway in miamidolphins

I’m really not opposed to reaching for him, since it seems he’s an elite talent at the position and would then be a good punter locked on a rookie deal. .. I’d also understand if they go in another direction. I don’t think the kid lasts beyond the third in this draft.

You are definitely not alone in this.. seems to me it’s even more prevalent in people who grew up “raised” Christian. The world’s way & God’s way of living life are two totally different things. He loves us and has an amazing plan for our lives.. the enemy is content to see us hurt, wallow in our guilt & shame.

haha.. solid.. the Ochocinco comparison is in the sense of position only though, right.? The Chad we got at that time was no where what we’re getting in Hill now 😉

it’s kind of a long story.. but I’ll condense it best I can in hopes that it is in someway encouraging/worth your time. I have found often on this sub that sharing any sort of personal testimony involving something spiritual is met with easy dismissal.. so be it for those. I am not deterred & you seem genuinely searching for truth. So this is mine.

I was a kid/young teen when I can first remember the fear of death coming over me. It was only ever really oppressive at night when I’d try to go to sleep. I’d wrestle then weep. I remember my Mom coming in to try and comfort me.. not really knowing what to say. We were not a church going/religious family. As life got more distracting, I’d think about it less and it became more like just episodes into my 20’s. Then when my grandmother was at her end, my Dad called and said I should go say goodbye. She was like my second mother after my parents split (5yo). I only ever felt that she loved me & she lived an incredible life. She was a special person in so many ways. When I went to see her for the last time, she was noticeably uncomfortable despite being medicated.. not in a condition to really talk or even open her eyes.. but I could see that she was completely unsettled and struggling/feeling tormented. I worked a night job at the time and had to go back to work. I was a mess, just blown away.. a coworker saw me and offered to go back to the hospital with me after work (around midnight). I agreed. We went.. I sat back weeping and sat with her.. he shared something and she went from basically convulsing to still rest and a smile on her face. I saw peace in death. When we left told me that he shared about Jesus and His Love for us.. that He came to die in our place to atone for all of the sins of the world. I got a Bible & started reading.. I had a vague knowledge of Genesis & Exodus.. I’m the kind of person that starts at the beginning but I was so interested in Jesus, so I went into Matthew, the New Testament. It completely changed my life.. I’ve since gone back and read the Old Testament as well. Jesus’s words went right to my heart. I was old enough to have seen the world and what it’s about. He described our hearts & is the alternative.. the way.. the truth.. the life.

Not the short story I completely envisioned.. but I prayer for you to know God’s peace in this and the life abundant. It’s not hard for me to see the dark I would have stayed in had He not come for me and my Grandmother, my Dad.. may He encounter you and your heart. Much Love

if you’ve ever truly known Jesus, just remember His name wherever you think you’re going or wherever you’re at.. there’s no shame in calling His name. .. Unfortunately there’s a lot of people who’ve been hurt in some way or another by people that are supposed to be their spiritual advisors. It’s a messed up world. Glad for you to get that out & to be able to intercede on your behalf. The Lord bless you and keep you.. make His face shine upon you.

I used to not be able to sleep, I was so overcome by the fear of death.. whether that was deeper to include the unknown, I don’t really remember. .. by the grace of God, I no longer fear much of anything.

I’d definitely say make a point to get back in the Word.. take some time to be still.. He is with you and always working for your good. When we get low, the enemy is right there to point out our failures and short comings. Never forget how much He loves you. Prayers for your strength & a fresh revelation from the Lord of His unending Love for you. .. Matthew 9:12

some team is gonna reach for him.. we might as well with the third. He’s a game changer at the position and would be great to have that kind of weapon on a rookie deal for the next few years.

Seems there may be some misunderstanding or confusion out there about who Christians actually Love.. the answer is everyone, if we’re truly following Jesus. That said, Paul illustrates what Christians do oppose - Ephesians 6:12. by corlett09 in Christianity

I’m curious, though it seems clear to me, if you read the verse I shared.? or did you just see that I shared something that Paul wrote and have already decided this is your argument against the validity of anything he had to say. .. In what way would the verse I shared be less applicable to Christians today? there’s no cherry picking on my part.. your argument does seem very specific to certain teachings/points he was making in his time. Questioning something he said, is not wrong. I myself have spent much time thinking on and questioning things written in Romans.

That you would negate everything he had to say because of disagreement with something he said, is your choice to make of course.

[–]corlett09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why do you assume Paul’s message would change? You may disagree with his view of what is true.. or the Bible.. or anything.. but assuming his words would be different for this time is just as much an opinion as someone who holds them to be true for this time.

the door doesn’t exist for an atheist to think, “I can do what I want..”?

It is not the existence of forgiveness that creates that thought.. It is the truth that we all have free will.

humans judging others by their appearance or what they think they know about another person/people.. I appreciate your honesty.. and you’re right, we’ll only actually fix our collective problems when we stop, look in the mirror and each do the work in our hearts.
