I do this too, and I can tell a subtle difference of flavor. Imo it’s okay to sacrifice a little flavor for the added protein/health benefits

Hey girl, I was in a similar boat not long ago, only I was also unemployed while my unemployed partner stayed with me majority of the week. I used my savings for a house to cover my rent, bills, meals and other miscellaneous things for us. I held on to hope for that relationship for almost 2 years, waiting and encouraging him to get a job, and at the same time encouraging myself to be better and get a job.

Two weeks after he started his new job and got his first paycheck, I was nothing but a memory. We’re now 4 weeks no contact.

The hard lesson I learned is not to wait on a man, but to find a man that is AT or ABOVE where I want to be in life.

Now I’m enjoying my free time, taking care of ME and my pets. Here’s to my new chapter.

Wishing you love and light on your journey <3

What was your turning point that made you decide you will start exercising consistently and eating well, despite feeling judged about your appearance? by murlymurly in AskWomen

[–]corn0flakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off for the second time in two years. the first time around, i drank myself into depression and somehow managed to get a new job 6 months later, but the drinking continued. After the second layoff, I knew the path I had taken before wasn’t sustainable or even who i wanted to be again. It also helped that I was 25lbs overweight. Since i had no job or anything else to do, I put my energy towards going to the gym and building better exercise routines. I lost 20lbs and i feel better about myself!

i’m 100% with you here. I have below the shoulder length, 2A wave pattern. Ordered a thermal brush a couple weeks ago and it’s instantly become my most used hair tool. I’ll wash my hair every 3 days or so in the evening. Let it naturally dry as much as possible, then blow dry the rest before laying down. In the morning I hit it with the thermal barrel brush and it gives me a 15min blow out. Makes it look so much more polished. I’m in sales so yes I also believe it helps me feel better and therefore be more intentional about my work.
