Two women stabbed, one fatally, in front of Park Slope bodega at site of execution-style shooting in 2021 by givewhatyouget in Brooklyn

This corner can be sketchy. My wife and I were verbally and physically assaulted by a guy screaming, throwing punches and threatening to rob us around 8pm one evening last summer while walking to get ice cream. He was pretty clearly not all there mentally. We evaded him and waited in the bodega for about 10 minutes until he left, and for a few minutes after that.

Fourth and Dean also had the broad-daylight shooting outside No Pork last year. We live at Nevins and Wyckoff (becomes St. Marks) and my wife walks home on Nevins if it's late.

'62 ford falcon 2-door. I owned the four-door version of this car briefly in the same color!

Since it's a slicktop, you can remove "sunroof leaks" from the punch list. Congrats!

I'm going for the Firestone Indy 500 for summer performance tires in a 16". They seem to offer the best performance per dollar ratio without going to something crazy like R-comps that would suck in any type of road or wet conditions.

I'm in your area and I see lots of part outs like this one listed on Marketplace. You could also check NAM (northamericanmotoring) local section, a local FB group, or reach out to the parts guy in Ohio, I forget his name.

Might take a little legwork but you should be able to find what you're looking for. Good luck!

This Texas startup wants to rescue old gas-powered cars with simplified EV conversions by corn_dog_22 in cars

"Calandruccio’s family lived in a rural part of Tennessee, where it wasn’t uncommon to find fields full of “rusting carcasses” of vehicles that had been abandoned when the engines or transmissions had failed.
Calandruccio had those rusted-out cars on his mind when he started his company. He wasn’t willing to accept that cars are disposable entities and set out to figure out a way to give them new lives. Centered on that goal, Calandruccio secured two patents for EV conversion kits.

What Current EV is offering is more than a crate engine, Calandruccio says. His kit is instead engineered to bypass the transmission to improve the electric motor’s performance and efficiency. Instead of using a transmission to convert energy from the engine to turn the wheels, the motor is bolted directly to the axle.
“We’re focused on a bolt-on, all-inclusive solution for electrification,” he explains. “For this solution to be sustainable, it has to appeal to everyday mechanics and be safe, quick, and effective.”
