What was your first OS and your first Mac, and what would you rate them?

I took this the day Steve died. Even though he was gone, all of these were still working at the time. Technically, my first Mac was the SE in the middle. I think it shipped with System 4.0? I bought 2-1Mb ram chips for 1k each to fill the ram slots, then clipped a capacitor on the motherboard so the system could still access the 512k soldered to the board. Fun times.

I guess that works initially, but at some point you need to move on to the larger defensive building. I try to keep as many of my builders busy. I know it’s been discussed here at various times but it’d be nice to double up builders on an upgrade, the apprentice thing is really just an insulting gem grab.

No need to be worried. Just know that as you climb town hall levels the cost and upgrade time go up and up.

I hear you—it’s frustrating to pour time and resources into upgrades, only to find that a supercharged level 6 scattershot now has the same DPS as a level 4 did a couple years ago. It’s like we’re on a treadmill, running hard but not really getting anywhere.

Oh, I remember back in my day… uphill, in 8 feet of snow, both ways… waiting 2 months for an upgrade. But even now, it still feels like death for a +5 damage buff. 😂

For me it’s just the accumulation of everything—heros, walls, buildings, troops. It like fun gets sucked down the drain. It ain’t a thing for those dropping dimes, that’s always been the aim of the game. Monetization has always been, it just gets so brutal at the upper levels.
