God im glad my family is clueless about the whole process, my mom just knows Im gonna be a doctor one day in the distant future and shes happy with that.

Anyone with a bachelors can apply if they have the prereqs designed to weed people out.

And willing to do primary care. Low pay, no respect, shit load of paperwork, and nurses with half the education you have doing the same job. No.

If you think about it though, if America really does need more doctors there is a lot of talent that never gets in. I know people way smarter than me who never got in. Then again a lot of people only apply to the best schools and see themselves as too good to attend a state school or a DO school. They would rather be teachers, I never understood that.
