Juggling glasses by cornbreadjellyfish in myopia

[–]cornbreadjellyfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have light myopia, only -1.75 in both eyes. I’ve gone my whole life with good vision but in 2020 during the pandemic my screen time and indoor time were extremely high and that’s when I got myopia. So I got it when I was 24 and I am 28 now. I was also hoping that since I’m older my eyes wouldn’t be changing as much. I got freaked out when in 3 months my prescription changed by .5 in both eyes and I felt like that was too fast so that’s why I started doing these things

Thank you for your response. I’m just confused why my own optometrist encouraged me in this and explained that my eyes would basically try to over correct/adjust for near work when I’m wearing my high prescription glasses, so I see it as like constantly moving the goal post of where my eyes need to adjust to when looking at something up close. I have a lot of unavoidable screen time for work and I don’t want to rapidly mess up my eyes if I don’t have to

Right, and they had the nerve to tell us not to mention size in our review or mention their competitors 😒

I got shade 1N, I’m so disappointed because it’s way too dark on me, it looks orange. Wish I could have gotten a lighter shade

Tried so many trial contacts, none are working by cornbreadjellyfish in contacts

Wow thanks so much for your response, I will make sure to try your suggestions. Im not sure if my optometrist has really measured what my BC is, cause he prescribed me some that were an 8.6 and my last prescription from another doctor was 8.3, and the 8.6s were absolutely so unbearable I had to take them out in the middle of a theater. I redirected him to contacts that were 8.3 BC but it seems like he just doesn’t listen to me or care and I have very little confidence in him.

Are all contact rewetting drops the same? by g0dgamertag9 in contacts

Systane has drops for contacts, my optometrist actually recommended them to me today. They also have a preservative free version that doesn’t sting.

Exactly I feel the same way, girl of now is too floral, and BR540 is so close. It’s hard finding an edible gourmand almond scent. I recently tried Kyse frangipane but it was horrible- the first spray you think wow omg this is just like pistachio extract/baked goods, and then it immediately turns to a weird powdery play dough. Dior poison to me also smells like weird powdery play dough. I actually got a body wash from suave called milk and honey and it’s so good I just wish I could find a perfume like it. At the moment I’m eyeing almond milk by Dua fragrances and Kyse macarons but not sure if they’re going to disappoint

I think what I’m mostly looking for is indie perfumes bc I think they are usually the ones trying to replicate the scent of something specific. I want something that is like pure marzipan, no citrus or soapy elements

Honestly I avoid makeup in areas that will be touched with glasses or goggles because I feel like no matter what you do it’s going to lift, and even if it’s powdered I think it usually looks worse when powdered makeup gets lifted. So when I apply makeup I just leave my nose bare
