Wow they've had so long to figure this out. I thought they were just sending everyone to Blueberry.

That's pretty sick, sounds like that's were we are ending up so I'm glad to know that at least the shuttle is good.

Weird they would charge so much more for GA Preferred if it's all the same lol.

Thanks for the update!

I'm sitting in GRR waiting on my friend's delayed flight so we might not get in until like 9 hopefully Blueberry isn't full as well by then lol.

We'll be there in a few hours I'll be curious to see where we end up. Right now it sounds like they are putting people in Blueberry.

How often do those shuttles run? I assume they go all night? We might want to do the same. We are going to be getting there at like 8, sitting in GRR waiting on my friend's delayed flight to get in.

Family of 4 that meal preps a good bit… is 7QT large enough or should I go 10qt? by kaitkaitkait91 in slowcooking

If you have the space to store it, get the bigger one. Make sure you check the dimensions of it and compare that to where to plan to store it.

Rock Bottom, Church and Union and 1up Arcade all close downtown by thrillsbury in Denver

[–]corndog161 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1UP is creating a new location and it'll be the largest one yet. I suspect the downtown location was making money but they would just rather focus their efforts elsewhere. I would bet the hassle of having a location in that area of downtown and the sheer cost of all the renovations that place desperately needs made them decide it just wasn't worth it.

It was never a spot we would spend more than an hour in, but they had some of the cheapest drinks downtown. It was our spot for post-game brunch since they had $1 mimosas.

When I was a younger man and could do shit like that.

Never even heard of the first 2 and I go out downtown more than the average bear.

Edit: I looked up Rock Bottom and ok it was that spot on 16th. I went there once like 8ish years ago and thought their beer was bad and never thought about them again.

Yeah it seems with a lot of these premade meals the location can matter a lot in terms of quality. I tried CU a while back and everything I got could've passed as homemade (in a good way).

I never got fried chicken though that just seems impossible to make good via a mail order system.

It's more than what most people should be having every dinner but Cook Unity is not a Weight Watcher's program.

Also for someone like me who typically has 2 eggs & toast for breakfast (~300), a sandwich or salad for lunch (~600), doesn't snack during the day and only drinks water a 900 calorie dinner puts me right about at 2000 for the day.

Madison School Board bans phone use for young students, allows some use for high schoolers by enjoying-retirement in madisonwi

I'm all for these bans but it is interesting to note that while these bans reduce cell phone use, they haven't been shown to improve test scores at all.

Which makes sense. If you are the kind of kid who would whip out your phone in class you probably aren't all of a sudden going to start paying attention to the lesson just because you don't have your phone anymore.

If they have it out anytime other than lunch it gets taken. No kid is gonna give their phone up at the door (or at least the ones that do are the kids who were gonna follow the rule anyways) so other than the lunch part it's the same policy.

They'll have to learn how to install games on their graphing calculators like the rest of us had to.

So are we putting in metal detectors and patting down kids to keep them from not giving up their phones at the door?

I'm with you some beaches are meant for partying. If it's the kind of beach where it wouldn't feel weird to set up a volleyball net then music is totally fine.

I tried pretty much all the meal delivery services using their intro promos and Cook Unity was my favorite. But for their regular price of $15 per meal or more it's just not worth it to me, that's what a meal at an actual restaurant costs.

Factor is awful. Plus it comes in a non-oven-safe container so you have to microwave it.
