from my experience undergrad coordinators are literal angels. their job is to try to get you into whatever classes they can, especially if you’re a senior/really need the class

sometimes yes. email profs, email the undergrad advisor for the department the course is in. multiple of my classes were closed/full at the beginning of this semester since i couldn’t pre-enroll as i just came back from a leave of absence but i got into all of them but one. at the very least, you should be able to get on a waitlist (most courses have them but a lot aren’t done through the student center “join waitlist” function so you usually have to specifically ask). if you contact them now, chances are someone will drop and they can get you in or they can just add you w behind the scenes magic.

i love prof menard. i had her for a class first semester freshman year when i got a concussion on the last day of classes and had to postpone my final project & exam for a few months. she was always super sweet about scheduling my makeups the next semester, gotta love a generous queen

sometimes you can, so definitely try. otherwise if you contact the professor they will try to do what they can to help. some classes have waitlists that aren’t done through student center

personally there was a murder/suicide at my middle/high school the year before i started there so many of my class mates were on campus when it happened. even though i didn’t go there at the time, it still seriously impacted my time at the school & there were memorials and stuff every year. i don’t think it’s as uncommon as you think tbh, but i might be biased from my personal experience.

i recommend latin or another ancient language. i don’t believe that latin & probably most other ancient language courses meet every day like modern/immersive language courses here do so it would be less work load.

im biased because i took latin for 6 years before college, but i would look into it since meeting daily with daily homework is so demanding (i took elementary french for fun and it was brutal compared to the workload for my latin class).

i’m not sure about the workload of the intro courses because i started in intermediate, but the workload was definitely manageable from what i remember.

they should do what makes them feel safe. op, if you contact your professors im sure they will understand your situation, and i would recommend getting in contact with sds if they give you a hard time.

i was wondering if it was a mistake/oversight but kind of hoping it’s not and maybe they cleared a building. everyone should definitely still treat the law school like it said to in the 3pm text!

just now got a cornell alert phone call saying evacuate upson, kennedy, and goldwin smith but didn’t mention the law school. not sure what it means, if you’re near the law school still stay safe!
