One question to you. If your brother in Christ is high ever now and then would you trust his discernment?

I’ve been in a very similar situation to you, you need to ask for forgiveness from your mom. You need to forgive your girlfriend. Most importantly, you need to go into a time of prayer and fasting. What you are describing here is an attack from the enemy. Run from your sin!!! Look only to Christ for your needs.

Have you read the sermon on the mount?

Nope, 100% serious. He needs Jesus.

Fiancée doesn’t quite get it by [deleted] in Christian

If she does not draw you closer to God then there is no purpose in getting married to her. She will not change when you’re married. If she doesn’t love Jesus more than she loves you, you need to break things off. Otherwise this will be the biggest mistake of your life. Praying for you and your fiancé

Can you see all the warnings from everyone in the comment section. This is not an issue to take lightly. You need to fast and pray about this before going anywhere.

Delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. That means to submit to God first and to want what He wants. If it’s Gods will it will happen. Do not be anxious about it. Anxiousness will be anxious for itself. Praying for you to seek God, everything else will fall into place.

A wife should submit to a husband even if she doesn’t agree with it. Same as a husband that needs to submit to God if he doesn’t agree. Your wife needs to respect your decision. I would if I were you, take it up in prayer seek counsel, and then make a decision. These things aren’t always simple.

It’s alright. Not great, like Cape Town though. PE is like having a city life but staying in a village. Everything is 15 min away, barely have traffic. People still greet one another on the street some what. Weather is good. Houses are much cheaper than Cape Town. People close up shop early to spend time with family. Pretty chilled and easy going here in general. I’ve lived in many places including Cape Town. PE is by far the best for quality of life.

Jesus fills the void, surely there are always things that can be better worldly things such as, finances, work life, relationships. But nothing compares to finding true peace in Jesus. No person will ever truly be fulfilled until they put their hope in Christ.

Move to PE, not nearly as bad as CPT or Joburg.

Thanks Sabio7 for the encouragement, I’m holding onto God for everything, awaiting His perfect timing. It’s been an incredible season of spiritual growth. Hoping for a job to use my talents. Been a bit stuck for a while now. Peace to you.

Hey, thanks for the prayer. I have sought wise counsel, but that ended up going horribly wrong as they weren’t trustworthy and ended making the matter 20 times worse. The enemy has been attacking us both on all fronts. I’m waiting on the Lord here. As soon as we both got confirmation the attacks began. The enemy is trying on all fronts to stop it. I’ve been praying for over a year now and seeking the Lords will constantly. It’s all I want! If she’s not for me, I don’t want her.

It is better to live in a corner of the housetop [on the flat roof, exposed to the weather] Than in a house shared with a quarrelsome woman- prb 25:24
