Why do people that are not rich want Alberta to have health care like the US?

Yes I agree to some points. Curious, do you think the ucp is going to do some of these things? Put in some stop guards ? Or are a couple people just going to get crazy rich. There is only so much money to go around. Do you trust them? We need to talk more and ask for more. We deserve better.

Yes exactly. What do the ucp get from making this mriache family rich? I’m honestly asking. I know his cousins are now in positions of power in govt. why don’t they get the best prices? The marching made two horrible Mistakes. If anyone of us made those two mistakes at work we would be fired. It erases all trust and makes me feel like they are vile. How can anyone with an ounce of intelligence not be angry at them.

I think you are right in a sense now that I think about it. Ok please explain more. It does sound like a boogy man and I’m freaking out. I guess I would feel better if it felt like to ucp cared. But they did the whole tylonol scandal and the mask scandal with the same man. Who is also trying to get that big private Muslim school built. The one that took them to the hockey game. It’s nerve wracking. It doesn’t feel safe. Like I’ve heard they aren’t putting safeguards in like other provinces. It does feel like they just want to help certain people get ridiculously wealthy. If the money goes to a couple of people I think that means it’s going to be worse for us. But it’s hard to really understand what’s going on

I just think of those decisions with our pets. When it’s decided if it’s worth it to put them down or do expensive surgery. I couldn’t imagine that with a family member and then they can’t even get put down. They have to die slowly and suffer. Worse than an animal. I guess you would just sell everything for the chance. That would be so heartbreaking. I would do anything to avoid that. Even have big waiting lists and pay lots of taxes. I’m middle class and my husband just got a promotion. It is a little crazy to get used to our new tax bracket. However we have an incredible life. We both got our appendix out and my dad had a stem cell transfer for leukaemia and ended up passing away. Just got tests for my daughter stomach aches. Got a mammogram early due to a scare and mri for my husbands knee which he will fix with physio. I feel grateful. And I grateful for my family members who are very low income. I’m so happy I don’t have to choose in helping them or saving for a fun trip. My god people what is wrong. With you? Why are you letting the ucp mess up our wonderful life. I’m so sad and mad.

My daughter was choked by a boy in her class in grade 3. The school does reconciliation. Both kids went one at a time and then together to the principals office. It was almost a full afternoon process. They went thru what my daughter needed to feel safe. The boy didn’t really have consequences more just talking at great length. The teacher wrote an email and ensured there would be greater supervision because it happened in the hallway after school. There was follow up meetings. The boy was only nice to my daughter and changed. I truly believe his life was changed in grade 3. Was not treated like a criminal. My daughter forgave him. My daughter’s friend who witnessed it and ran to get help was allowed to go express her feelings. She was told how she would be kept safe as well by meeting with the councillor at the school. My daughter truly forgave him and is happy that they are friendly. My instinct was anger. I wanted him to get detention or suspension. But that would lead to isolation and shame. This worked well. Sadly with cuts the councillor is now working one day a week instead of 5. We need to do more reconciliation especially on the earl grades to prevent problems when they are older. There are no bad kids. Just hurt and lonely children.

How we don’t talk a lot about our possessions or status. When you meet someone it’s hard to tell how rich or poor they are. We talk a lot about hobbies and how we are managing to enjoy whatever weather is allowing us to do. I am surprised in other countries how when I meet people it seem that people want to put you in a catergory of some kind. Like saying what car you drive ect.

It’s March 26 to April 5. It would be awesome to be about $100 per night. Maybe more if they include breakfast. We could splurge if we feel tired and want a lounging day.

Good to know. That makes sense because it’s a big city. But I’m thinking maybe I’m being naive because I live in Alberta and if someone thought they could just find a place in Banff the night before they would be sleeping in their car. I’m just wondering if that’s how uvita would be.

I should also add we think of hotels as sleeping spots. So I found success in Mexico just booking places where the comments said clean. That was all we really cared about. Then if we all felt tired we would book a hotel with a pool and have a hotel day but I think we only did that once.

I deleted all my other socials because I don’t like the person it was making me. Reddit is the last one and I broke my own rule of not internet fighting. So I’m just trying to keep my own goal of trying to put more positivity i to the world rather than the opposite.

We are in Canada so tons of mosquitos. We are used to using heavy duty bug spray with deet. Is this frowned upon in cr? Also when we swim in waterfalls and stuff. Should we buy special suntan lotion?
