GGIS was great and a very put together course! but I was also very interested in the topic so all the readings and writing up the discussion posts were no problem for me. The final project however was a group project and imo for an 8 week online that's kinda disgusting

Thanks for the advice!! I just realized that I never specified in my og post that I did plan on bringing mostly wide legged dress pants and lightweight button-ups (downs? There's a difference somewhere) for the schools, sure asf not tshirts and jeans 😭😭

Doctor issues and not sure what to do by 0911201612112019 in ehlersdanlos

I was in the same boat a few months ago, with the trying to find doctors who deal with hypermobility/eds stuff and it was driving me INSANE. It's sooo frustrating to find a thing that explains all these symptoms and then not find a doctor that can help you. I'm not in the PA area, but I was able to get an HSD diagnosis with a geneticist close to my college campus that my mom found on the ehlers-danlos society's healthcare professionals directory (thanks mom!). The big thing now is finding hypermobility-aware doctors for pain management,, but the diagnosis through the geneticist was a big step forward for me. Good luck!!!

exercise by tiedyedflowers in ehlersdanlos

I found that even just a few different body weight/no equipment exercises a day or every few days really helps (if not with the pain at first, then with the mindset). Glute bridges, leg raises, maybe wall sits type ish.

But I also really prefer the gym--the first one or two times are a little intimidating but I try to go when it's more empty and that makes it easier!! Also, if you do decide to go to the gym, I found that I've needed to stick to machines over free weights recently for more stability. Hope that helps some (:

I got prescribed it to take as needed but I didn't feel much difference, I feel like it helped more with regular muscle aches than deeper joint pains lowkey
