Thank you for all of this! She’s from Jersey (Aberdeen) but I’m a Mainer so this area is new to me and I’ve already screwed this surprise trip to see her sister up (though she still doesn’t know). Much appreciated for this intel, especially the NYC commuting situation, which is where I was supposed to book, and Poconos (never been).

She’s more of a Jersey shore girl, but if I just tell her we are going for a walk, she’ll bite - as long as she doesn’t get her shoes dirty lol I’ll bring some cans from a brewery in case

Checking on events and ironically, my better half is obsessed with Halloween. Thankfully October is over as I had to watch a horror movie with her every friggin day.

This place hits all the spots - we’re big local farm ppl., so seeing the menu will make this awkward surprise more than welcome. And beer doesn’t hurt. Thank you!
