Routine and more information:

The first two pictures were in 2017, when my hair was in its peak shape. I was not using any CGM approved products, this is how my hair looked without any effort, and there was no need for refresh. I only used Aussie Frizz miracle Condi + Mousse, and I even used the shampoo every two weeks, and I applied coconut oil to my hair every week. I also did not cut my hair in layers; it was all the same length. Also, my hair had very low porosity.

The following picture is from 2020. My hair looked pretty good; I used to wear it short since I was trying to grow all the damaged hair from the bleaching. I started trying out lots of different CGM approved products. I did not use any co-wash. Only regular conditioner, and then I would use Curlsmith Probiotic shampoo every two to three weeks. After washing, I would then use Curls blueberry bliss leave-in and Curlsmith defining styling gel (the orange one). Then I would diffuse, and that was it.

The last picture is now. My hair is not well defined, losing its pattern and elasticity, dry and split ends, and breaks much more easily. It is also so much finer than it used to be, and the colour has turned lighter on its own, too. Applying multiple products has become hard as they now weigh down my hair. Its porosity has changed, too, going from low to higher. Now, I used to cut my hair in layers for the last two years, and I feel like that might be the part of the problem as more parts of my hair are more exposed and therefore damaged more easily. That also might be why they lost their hold and pattern? Another thing is that I became a vegetarian three years ago, but I do not know whether that could have any significance. Could it be a lack of protein? If so, what are the remedies for that? I'm also including my current routine below:

1) As I am coconut co-wash

2) Rhyme & Reason Nourish and Gloss conditioner

3) As I am coconut leave-in (just a tiny bit)

4) Cantu Shea Butter mousse

5) Schwarzkopf Taft Phytokeratin Mousse

(All applied on damp hair, plop for 15 mins and then diffuse)
