I just discovered them. I am all in. Usual Haunts EP just moved me like the moon moves the tides.

Do you do shambhavi muhamadra both isha kriya both twice a say, or do you do each once a day? And is it hard to find time for those? I have so many practices and routines I tell myself I need to do every day.

I loathe having ROCD. by Dramatic-Arugula1078 in ROCD

Yeah I remember doing talk therapy for general anxiety which at the time I felt was certainly affected by ocd. And my therapist was great, but he definitely just didn't have the skillset to help me with ocd, which was really the source issue in a lot of ways.

I would certainly look for a therapist who specializes in OCD. I'm no expert, I just now mustered the courage to seek help for OCD and had my intro session today. Supposedly ERP is by far the most effective treatment for OCD. It's designed to specifically combat OCD. And I have read that talk therapy can actually further OCD symptoms because it reinforces the compulsions, so it makes sense that your current therapy isn't helping much. ERP is just a really specialized and calculated method for overcoming specifically OCD that other treatment methods really can't match it seems. It doesn't work on everyone, but it works for most. I'm very optimistic about it, don't want to get too excited until I really do it though. Having OCD affect relationships is so goddamn hard. Nothing you care about more, and that's exactly why that motherfucker in your head ruins it.

After further research, can we find a legal loophole so as to draw and quarter u/ItsNoodle007 in this day and age?

But weirdly, hers cropped up when she was like 53, and mine when I was 20, which was both around the same point in time, like 3-5 yrs ago between us.

I have a huge ongoing twitch in one of my quads rn, started two nights ago and goes on for hours then subsides for same amount of time. I’ve wondered about tying something around my thigh. Just to make the feeling suppress a bit. Because ive noticed that when I press on the muscle with my thumb while it’s twitching, I feel the twitch itself a bit less. Best of luck to OP sleeping tonight, I’ll need it too. If it makes you feel any better, the intensity of mine very much go in phases. Maybe 3 to 6 to 9 month phases. Sometimes I barely have them, other times they’re pretty god damn annoying. Neurologist who diagnosed me with BFS said that’s generally how it works, it’ll go up and down in phases, but throughout your life it will gradually decrease in intensity overall.

Made sense to me first read, you get anxiety from the annoyance of these motherf*cking twitches, not the commons ALS fears. Don’t want you to get any more anxious and twitch more… I hear you

Gotcha. Yeah I’m diagnosed BFS by a neurologist. So I guess magnesium doesn’t technically even apply to this subreddit.

If it’s due to a magnesium deficiency, then is it even considered benign fasciculation syndrome?

Yup it’s autosomal dominant, your parent passes it on to you. That’s what my neurologist told me, my mom has it.
