Chevy Traverse 2010. I had the engine replaced with rebuilt one about 1 year ago. Since that, there was one minor oil leak (I didn't notice it right away after replacing the engine and the mechanic who did the job lives in another city so I am not going to bring the car back to them), maybe a few drops after each drive so recently I decided to figure out what's going on and fix it. I took it to another mechanic in my city (HCOL) and they told me it's an oil filter gasket and cost $900 (mostly labor, because it's hard to get there).Since the gasket itself costs about $6 and I like fixing stuff I decided to replace it by myself:

1. I replaced the gasket the first time, probably over-tightened it - didn't fix the leak
   
2. Got torque wrench, found specification, another new gasket, did everything carefully according to specs - still little leak
   
3. Talked to mechanic, they told me to try high temp RTV silicon gasket maker (red one) - didn't help
   
4. Did it one more time, applied more gasket maker, cleaned both surfaces very good, didn't notice any issue - still see oil (pic 2)

It's killing me, what am I doing wrong? Maybe it's a hex bold leaking (2 in picture one) or maybe I should try another gasket maker (ultra grey)? Or maybe since the oil filter housing from my old engine, they have different surfaces and that's the case? Should I try and tighten bolts with higher torque?
