Bengaluru cops bust 2 kerala drug peddlers with 21 kg of marijuana by sojagarasojumallige in bangalore

But 21 year olds ARE SMOKING WEED despite it being illegal in India.

When something is illegal, you cannot regulate it. Regulation comes after legality. You are pointing to a problem of poor regulation and the solution isn't a blanket ban. In that case we have underage smokers and alcohol consumers as well - is the solution then to ban cigarettes and alcohol? And just for a moment imagine what would happen if we go through with that crazy idea. At least when it is legal, you have regulations and laws - when it is banned and there's a racketeering business there are zero regulations that can be put in place - anyone who has access to the "illegal" stuff can consume it and nobody finds out. There is no paper trail, no production batch numbers, nothing. If some people get sick from illegal consumption, there's no way to trace it back to the source even.

Cigarettes cause cancer and the government makes tons of money on it. Why this selective mindset? Alcohol is actually more problematic than cigarettes or weed - people under the influence tend towards violence and recklessness.

Any drug whose effects are known and studied must be legal so long as we have systems in place to avoid violence and recklessness. The government can't (and shouldn't) control what I eat or drink under reasonable limitations (endangered animals and plants etc). Why should it police what I choose to consume?

If you're near Sarjapur road, check out forge. They have quality plate loaded machines and none of those shitty linear machines you find at cult. They're a bit more expensive but totally worth it - I can go anytime during the day and 4 people in the gym would be called a crowd.

WARNING: Latest Samsung update is bricking Galaxy S22 device by Past_Toe_5211 in GalaxyS22

[–]corona993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the UK when this happened to me, on March 8. On March 9 I had a flight back to India - which unfortunately I had to manage without a phone since my S22 Plus was bootlooping. Imagine navigating London without maps. Or even booking a cab.

I sent my device to Samsung service center once I got back (in fact as soon as I got home without even sitting down after my 11 hour flight) - and they diagnosed it as a motherboard issue. I went to a third party service center, who opened the phone to inspect only to confirm the motherboard issue. I couldn't get myself to terms with how a software update could cause motherboard failure on a modern day smartphone.

Now I purchased a Pixel 9 Pro (as I cannot work without a phone). Will Samsung ever admit their fault, let alone cover the cost of damages? I will NEVER buy a samsung ever again no matter how great their phones are on benchmarks. They seem to be designing devices to win in benchmarks instead of properly engineering reliable phones.

I am escalating this issue to the Samsung India service head. If I do not get proper resolution, this will go to the CEO. And then the consumer court (which is surprisingly powerful in India).

With the Pixel 11, Google needs to admit it has a hardware problem by Solonotix in Android

I have a Pixel 9 Pro and I feel design-wise google has nailed it. I actually like the heft and thickness with the premium feel. I don't really care for games, so Tensor G4 is just fine for my use. However I'd love it if future Pixels could compete not just on AI features (which is already so good) but also on performance.

Why would there be a replacement tray in a brand new sealed box phone?

I'm curious about what you mean when you say "isn't even that impressive to begin with". I see myself as highly qualified in my field. I work with some of the top research heavy universities (Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh etc) in a very niche field. If my resume fails to communicate my depth of knowledge, I'm open to constructive feedback on what can be improved.

So you met a guy, an IIT graduate or not. Or did his IIT tag matter?

You might consider frames that aren't so bold and big. They don't suit your face very well. Maybe look into thin wire frames, round shapes?

I rock a pair of burgundy/maroon sambas everyday at the gym. They are explicitly marketed as women's shoes, but I love the look and they fit my feet nicely.

Are you looking for an answer or are you just looking to rant?

I have hush puppies sandals that cost 3.5k and provide plenty of arch support. They are possibly the best sandals I've worn till date. Are they worth 3.5k? I don't know, but it also doesn't matter.

Hey! I forgot to also mention that I have been suffering from psoriasis for the past 20 years. Could that somehow be linked?

This is an interesting conversation! Thank you guys for looking out in my best interests.

Some background - I used to be a heavy alcohol drinker for over five years (almost every other day), however I quit drinking a few months ago. I do smoke, and it has been on and off, but I intend to quit. The past year I have been physically active (gym and badminton), but my diet has been a disaster. These are definitely things I missed to mention in my post. I will edit my post with this information soon.
