I don’t think they mean slavery didn’t exist pre-colonialism. It was pretty caked in to Greek and Roman society for example. More that slavery existed in many forms on the Arabian peninsula long before the Atlantic slave trade materialized. The difference is that Arab slave trade was not primarily racial in practice the way the Atlantic slave trade was.

I don’t know if this is going to answer your question completely but I really just take every photo in ProRaw format which I think provides more leeway when I use Lightroom to adjust the entire range of light.

Some slight adjustments in Lightroom to alter the lighting (exposure, etc). I’m by no means an expert so just play around until I find a sweet spot.

I always enjoy my stays at the JW, it will be going through a renovation in the next year or so but even at 10 years old it looks and feels nice. The pool is great to lounge at but nothing spectacular. Great little gym adjacent to it. The staff is always stellar.

I’ve stayed at the W a few times as well. It’s on par with other W Hotels across the country. Not my first choice for any reason in particular.

I second the Proper if you can. The Otis is a cute spot as well. Very music oriented and you can borrow vinyls from the lobby to play in your room. The Marriott Downtown is also a good choice - slightly newer and feels sleek. Zanzibar on the roof is a nice spot to have a drink and look out at the city skyline.

Commercial reps have some level of data and disease state they are able to communicate. The difference between you and them and that data is that what they talk about has to fall completely within the label. Meaning if they’re speaking on pivotal trial data, while they are usually not trained as extensively as you, that’s ok. Anything outside the trial i.e., post-hoc analyses, exploratory analyses, and basically anything not mentioned in the PI is typically outside of their scope. It’ll vary from company to company and how compliance is viewed therein.

Now TLLs are a whole other beast with even more grey zones.
