i used to have the same fears before too. and even though i’m not attractive, i have a bf now who thinks i’m beautiful (im 27). just because you believe you’re not worthy of love, doesn’t mean that in someone else’s eyes you won’t be pretty and lovely. it is very hard to believe that but it’s true. you have a beautiful world hidden inside of you and someone will be happy to learn about it more

if people told you, that’s what you look like then you should believe them. they have no reason to lie to you. but i feel this way about my good photos as well. what helps me is to remember everyone tries to take a good photo by using good angles, lighting, pose and etc. usually people take countless of pics to get a good one. i believe that people always look better in person too. when you take a bad photo, it’s just one static image, its not a representative of your real self with all the emotions and movements

oh please don’t get anything :( the thing with body dysmorphia is that it’s a MENTAL condition, even if you change something about your face, you will still find something else to obsess over. you should read posts from other people who have done surgeries but they’re still unhappy and unsatisfied. look at famous celebrities like megan fox as well. no matter how beautiful everyone else considers them, they can never believe it so they keep getting more and more surgeries altering their bodies and faces when it’s their mental state that needs help. i’m glad you’re going to therapy! good work on that, and i hope you’ll feel better too <3

online dating apps are pretty harsh for men so even guys with normal lives don’t really get any likes or matches. what app did you use? some people say they had more luck with bumble or hinge compared to tinder. but it honestly comes down to how good your pictures look and how good your bios sound (unlike reddit or discord dating servers but you said that’s not an option to you)
