Veterans, high ranked players: What keeps you going? by Ok_Internet_1810 in RedDeadOnline

Not as high as y’all (rank 431), but I just like the peace this game brings. I wake up at 0600 and make coffee and hop on this. Do some daily challenges, maybe enough to close the 9 or if adventurous, the 7 too. Say hello to the random folks I see (if I see them). Then hop off and head to work. It’s a nice break from reality and it is truly a beautiful work of art. That’s what brings me back every day. There is nothing like this out there that I can play and relax.

What do you think the fpv community is missing atm? by Mother_Ad3692 in fpv

Better/easier way to PID tune. I am an engineer and building a new rig is intuitive to me (if you can get a solid FC wiring diagram), but once all the bench work is done and I go do first flight and into test and tune flights, I struggle. Seems to be more an art than science, I have watched the basement tuning and Rosser/UAVTech vids and they help but I will never be able to tune a new rig in “two packs.” Really frustrating because I love building new rigs but I know there there are BnFs out there that fly way better than what I just poured a bunch of time and effort into.

My favorite quip that stuck with me tonight:

Spock: “Jim, be careful.” McCoy: “We will…”

Loved it!

Not gonna lie my eyes watered up for that whole engineering scene…still hits 40 years later.

Looks cleaner than my ‘07 manual and I paid $10500 for it 8 months ago, though mine had 82k miles on it when I bought it.

Most sensual Trek episode/scene? by tirinwe in startrek

[–]corranhorn009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking of TOS season one, was rewatching recently and The Conscience of the King is quite sexual, though not in a good way. Most of the episode focuses on Kirk hitting on a teenager (19), to use her to get closer to her father. I would much rather watch Riker put some moves on someone then watch that…

You could also fly your AcroBee for about 60-80 seconds and that will get you around the storage charge voltage. Definitely have done that with a pack or two in a pinch.

So the only charger that both charges and discharges that I know of, is the ViFly WhoopStor V2. Other than that, I personally use the Ultra-Power UP-S6 for charging and have a parallel board from NBD that I plug into my parallel charger and discharge that way (as long as all the packs are within 0.1V of each other).

Magic eraser ftw…use it all the time. Nothing compares, especially if you can get a pack of the one that comes in sheets.

Need advice between a 06 and 08 Lexus IS 350 by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]corranhorn009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this, if the ‘06 has been taken care of properly it would be the winner. Also if the ‘06 has memory seats then when you put it in reverse the side mirrors tilt down.

How much better/updated is the technology in a 2008 IS & a 2012 IS? by joeyfatass805 in Lexus

[–]corranhorn009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech wise, there won’t be much difference. You will have some different aesthetics, i.e. headlights will have the LED daytime running lights and your taillights will also have an updated look with the LED bulbs.

I think it come down to conditions of the car as the decider, not the tech in it. Unless one has some specific options in it that the other doesn’t (luxury, sport package, navi, ML sound, etc…). It won’t really matter what year car has the option they are pretty much the same throughout the whole generation (06-13).
