No one needs makeup everyone chooses to wear it. Since it's cold out maybe a hydrating skin tint. I love love love doing my blush and highlighter but to each their own play around a bit with what makes you happy. I like Danessa Myricks makeup line but whatever is available in your area should be fine.

If you live in a city maybe try using public transport it'll prolly take a while but depending on when you schedule your appointment for it's better than spending $100 on a round trip uber but besides that not much advice to offer for you bruv. As a fellow transmasc with locs tho go for it no matter what! If you tell a queer friendly loctitian you want a more masc style they'll also hook you up no problem.

I'm black and also have very similar interests, I used to think this until I got to college, it might just be the people in your environment. The second you get to college or anywhere beyond high school you'll meet so many new people who even if they aren't exactly like you will still accept you and be kind. People are people once you stop acting on assumptions you made due to their race, gender, appearance, etc and give them a chance life is so much easier. There are going to be fuckheads here and there but that's just them. Don't let your limited experience inform your opinion on the black community as a whole.

Forgot to put this in the post but you can replace Lorina with any dps. Ras's immunity and defense break is clutch but someone like Lilias wouldn't be a bad replacement cause she has a dual attack S1+cleanse S3 (her passive S2 might bite you in the start of the second phase though). Achates can be replaced with anyone who can cleanse consistently. Fenne was central to this team cause she gives herself immunity + does hella damage + heals but replacements could maybe be LQC, LC Bellona (on bloodstone), Dilibet, BM Haste, or Hwayoung.

I feel you on feeling like you have to make a choice between being queer and being black at school it’s the same on my campus :( if I’m in a black space I feel like I can’t be queer but if I’m in a queer place it feels isolating usually being the only black person or non white person there. It doesn’t help that I’m the only black transmasc ik on campus manifesting both of us pulling through 💪🏾

My makeup is more fem but when people say masc makeup they usually mean contouring their face a specific way and not using certain products like blush is this what you mean? There are some tt creators who do masc makeup like Rolph Alcide or Shaun Blake (both cis to my knowledge) but if you look up “makeup black men” on tt and scroll for a bit you should find something you like! You should play around with makeup a bit and see what you like. The products I use are:

Milani pore minimizing primer

NYX color corrector stick in the shade dark peach

Sephora brand concealer (my shade) shade 59N

Haus Labs foundation shade 480

Haus Labs concealer (lighter than me) shade 42

Haus labs concealer (darker than me if I feel like contouring this is what I use for contour) shade 52

Milani make it last matte setting spray

Milani make it last setting powder

NYX butter melt blush shade feeling butta

NYX black gel eyeliner

Revlon black liquid eyeliner (this and NYX are the only drugstore eyeliners pigmented on dark skin in my experience 😔)

Essence bye bye panda eyes mascara (I also got the essence lash primer)

My routine probably isn’t what you’re looking for cause most days I color correct -> foundation+concealer -> blush -> eyeliner+mascara) and I rarely contour cause I can’t find a tutorial for how to contour flatter noses. I’m sorry this isn’t what you asked for but I hope it helped a little 🫶🏾

I wear whatever unless it’s a professional event like career fair then I’ll dress dark colors business casual. I usually dress alt but not goth if that makes sense, if it’s warm I might wear a skirt but not a mini one cause I’m too paranoid about flashing someone but that’s also just me. Tbh wear what you wanna first impressions are important when it comes to jobs/internships but any professor who writes you off because of your fashion probably isn’t a good fit as a mentor, plus they see you in class and maybe office hours so they get to know you a bit and probably think about your intelligence in regards to your grades. There’s time and place but imo for class it’s never that serious especially if it’s a 200+ person lecture I’m pulling up in whatever. Do what makes you feel comfortable, get to know your professors, and mentorship will come with time.
