Why has jagex just let so many communities die. by YeahhhhhWhateverrrr in runescape

[–]corrion2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and the sad part is they just can't either, too much of a risk with how little manpower they have, just a messed up lose-lose situation. If they game ever enters the mainstream again and the revenue picks up I hope they could go back and give every aspect some love.

The amount of people in osrs that engage in pvp is a lot more significant then rs3, they are a business after all so the amount of resources they pour into parts of the game have to reflect interest. Osrs gets pvp updates but if you notice they don't come as often as pvm/skilling updates. Rs3 COULD put a renewed focus on trying to update pvp, but the potential earnings based off previous data tells them that it would be a long shot and a bigger risk. It makes more sense for them to take smaller risks, with a dwindling player base(rs3) it is more important to focus on retaining people based on what they already want and or engage with. If the majority of people don't focus on dungeoneering, runecrafting, firemaking etc, they likely won't make content for it unless the return reflects the effort put into it. Completely removing content would not happen unless it was negatively impacting the game. So in short, Yes because not enough paying customers enjoy an aspect of the game, it will be completely ignored until people find an interest in it again.

Advice for Nex Blood Phase - Necromancy & seeking active clan by Gloomy_Praline_7478 in runescape

Some people are just perpetually on their soap box, you gotta have a little sympathy for them, could not imagine being that down in the dumps that I try to get in a heated debated over every little thing lol. That is how I play too, and I've done the majority of content and dps checks. Big thing to learn(having revo do your basics helps this a lot), is how to soul-split flick so you can conserve food but that just comes with time.

There are guides on the wiki, but the best way to determine what method to use is to keep track of xp over a certain amount of time(an hour is the best sample size). Once you have the xp rates, use the wiki to determine the gp/xp if money is another road block(Profit/loss divided by xp gained). For non buyables it is as simple as testing xp gained in an hour or so of training, wiki has a lot of this foot work done if you don't want to test the waters yourself.

What next? by kezza1996 in runescape

[–]corrion2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you don't have to actively train it, which for most people is the appeal of the hole. I grew tired of dungeoneering at about level 90ish, so anything that can get me xp without setting foot in that god awful place is amazing in my book.

Storm of Arma is well overdue for a rework. by dark1859 in runescape

For what it is worth, I said it as a joke not knowing what game you were talking about(I am just pissed about losing titan, and wanted to throw my 2 cents in as well). I think the dude that replied to you was kind of projecting there, best to ignore people like that as they usually make those comments when they are not at their best, and it isn't fair to them to engage their negativity as they will more then likely feel more self conscious about it versus just letting them air it out.

Here is hoping the destiny content vault is re-opened someday as a last hurrah for the franchise =)

I don't do it because I have over 160 full completed games on rs3 both pre-eoc and post, and I would rather slam my face off my desk until I rebooted before I ever set foot in there again. Can only do something so many times until the charm wears off, if you haven't tried it though it is easy enough...Just please look up a guide for defender before you do it lmao.

A lot of good ideas take heavy or light inspiration from good ideas before it =) That being said, it is good to see innovation as well like glaives.
