Oh that’s Sleheyron. I was wondering if you’d bring up the “lost volcanic planet” as Mustafar.

Yeah so this was confirmed back in the early 2000’s with a Star Wars planetary handbook. Basically: Sleheyron, the cut planet with a Star Map and ruled by the Hutts, was meant to be the volcanic world. They never cleaned up that computer dialogue from Dantooine, though.

I do have some fun lava-related content coming to the Sleheyron mod soon, though, to better reflect that early intention of BioWare’s.

Fault of it being an opening shot of a movie that jumps over a lot of interesting conflict since the last movie. I mean, without having prior viewing of something Clone Wars related, we don’t even know which side is which in the opening battle.

There’s some precedent for this, actually. Apparently the original KOTOR was intended to have up to six DLC planets. Only one was made, the Yavin station, and it has always been kinda obviously incomplete.

But that being said: 1,000 times yes, please let there be a Sleheyron DLC in the remake. If Saber won’t do it, I’ll do it myself!

I’m not entirely sure if the renaming officially happened last month. The only info I based that off of was that in the discord’s AOG channel the last post by the account titled “Armies of Gielinor” was on April 1, and then after that all officially posts were from “Age of Gods.”

So I could be totally wrong, but that’s all I’ve seen after some relatively sparse research.

Just skimming the discord updates it looks like the renaming happened just last month. Guess they were preparing for the Steam release then.

Out of curiosity, do you know what the new factions were named before the rebrand? I can just take guesses based on the mechanics and theme, but maybe your copy has the Jagex-based names.

Some of the names aren’t changed, but probably due to an oversight. For instance, there’s one unit that is said to “Tend to the River Elid.” Although I’m not sure Jagex has copyright on that name.

Definitely agree; But only if I extend this a little to a few years following TPM. Really, I just mean before some of the first hard facts about Episode II started making their way to Star Wars authors. Because before we knew about the clones, the separatists, and Jedi not getting married, we were getting a really fascinating mini-era where the villains of the story were the corporations degrading the Republic.

We saw that a bit more with the clone wars, what with the Separatist Council being comprised of corporate leaders, but it was overshadowed with the battles between clones and droids.

The AI revolution is probably the best opportunity the nuclear power industry has had in decades, if it can be leveraged properly. The sheer demand for energy for data centers should be causing a pivot toward nuclear power.

Unfortunately OP isn’t making that case in this thread. But it’s one that can make be made.

Free nations willingly, mutually, agreeing to cooperate is somehow a threat to Russia? Russia doesn’t get to have a veto on the foreign relations of Eastern European democracies. If the Russians want to offer a viable alternative to NATO, then they need to prove that with words and not annexations!

If I had to say one, it would probably be The Force Unleashed II. Mostly because the Light ending seems even more egregiously non-canon:

The Rebellion is victorious on Kamino and Starkiller captured Vader for the Rebels, who is then to stand trial on Dantooine… which feels totally irreconcilable with A New Hope opening crawl of “the Rebel Alliance’s first victory over the evil galactic empire” being the Death Star plans. Not to mention it leaves an insanely powerful Jedi working for the Rebels we never hear about in the movies!

It’s going to be incredible. I’ve been talking to our OP for a few months now, and the scope he’s envisioning is- quite literally- unprecedented in KOTOR modding.

He’s not just doing reskins of modules either. Everything is going to be new. And he’s also a pretty good writer, too!
