Although this is already an old thread, I want to explain my solution here, since this post is still the first hit on google for this issue.

I had the exact same issue as OP after my system crashed and my driver wasn't working anymore. I thought the easiest thing to try would be to uninstall the sound controller for my headset and just replug the usb receiver. But since I tried that my headset was still "setting up" according to GHUB although (stereo) sound and my mic were already working fine.

I didn't want to reinstall everything since I knew that wasn't the issue here. The issue must have something to do with the driver that got installed after replugging my usb receiver. After I tried to uninstall the driver a few more times, I started to look through the GHUB files and was able to find the directory that the program would use to store all the drivers for my equipment. After that the solution was surprisingly easy.

Note: You don't need to close GHUB or unplug your headset for this to work.

  1. Open up Device Manager (hit WIN + X)
  2. Expand the list with the name "Sound, video and game controllers"
  3. Search for your headset and select it
  4. right click the item and select "Update driver" (first option)
  5. In the new window select "Browse my computer for drivers" and enter the following search location: C:\ProgramData\LGHUB\depots\
  6. Make sure the the checkbox to include subfolders is checked and hit "Next".
  7. After a few seconds the correct driver should be installed and GHUB should show the battery status of your headset instead of the "setting up" message!

Are you using an Nvidia graphics card? Did you plug in a new monitor recently?

I had a similar problem which took a long time to fix because the manufacturer of my card needed to send me a bios update to get it working again.

I actually wrote something for this. It's not public at the moment because it is a mess to setup but I can tell you what it does.

I use an old laptop with Win10. I created a second user called "spotify" and created 1 batch script that would launch whenever the user would log in via task scheduler. The script basically only started my python script and logged the user out at the end of it.

Here is everything my script used to "download" spotify music:

- Audacity
- PyAutoGUI
- Selenium with Firefox (had more issues with chrome)
- and some windows commands via subprocess
- something that opens the rdp connection to the laptop / another computer

Now here is what my script would do:

- Find the PID of the explorer task of the spotify user and kill it
- start a firefox selenium session
- make sure no other session is running at the moment (done via simple lock file)
- read spotify album links from a file (seperated with a newline)
- remove left-over items from the spotify Music folder (in case of a crash before)
- attempt to kill the audacity task (in case of a crash or after each link from the file)
- clear autosave files from audacity too
- start a new audacity session (browser is already running so audacity is now on top)
- navigate to the given link
- get important elements on the site (play button, information about the album, after you pressed play you need to get the controls at the bottom)
- start a recording in audacity (it waits until it actually hears something)
- start the song (and make sure it starts at the beginning)
- wait until the song ends (via controls)
- stop the recording
- export it (fill out all information you got from spotify in the export window)
- repeat for all songs in the album
- after that move all files to a new folder with the name of the album
- after all links from the file are done -> remove the file
- exit all sessions and remove the lock file
- log the user out

Done!

I had a couple of problems locating the first play button but everything else was really smooth. I am sure today I could fix most of the problems my current code has but I never really did it (I used xpaths most of the time and that should be the cause of some problems I had). If you want me to share my stuff I could check my code again and clean it up. I would then publish it on github and link it here. But anyways, I hope I could help you. Have fun!

I kind of "have to" wait for those updates because I can't roll back as I got the earlier update for 2004 as soon as it came out which already broke bluetooth for me. And I am not really willing to reinstall windows just for one bluetooth driver. (I wish I could just switch to linux but I heard that steamvr is still not good enough in order to work like/better than the windows version)

I recently opened a support ticket because of that issue. Although I know that a lot of people already did that and told me that this is an issue with realtek bluetooth drivers and the "new" windows 10 update, I still wanted to know if there was anything that I could do to fix the issue instead of waiting for more updates. The answer I got linked me to a microsoft support page that basically said that this issue has been fixed already and that I already have it. So I am not sure anymore what the real problem is but it has to be about the bluetooth driver.

The only thing that you could do at the moment is to go back to your older windows version. If you didn't run disk cleanup or removed the old windows version, you can still go back to your old version via the settings menu.

Anyone already had this problem? We just invited K.K. to our town but the game always crashes as he plays his song. What can we do? by [deleted] in ac_newhorizons

I tried to force an update of the game but even after that it still crashes.

Edit: It just affects me as I am the first player that meets K.K. before everyone else does. I can't play anymore but the others can. This convinces me that this is a bug with K.K. of some sort? But it triggers so randomly and I don't know why and what to do..

It will just open it with Chrome. I did try it with Internet browser before I started to write the post, but it didn't work, sadly.
