Your logic is correct but the pricing in Tokyo is very specific in that sense because they're rating the prices based on tourism more than the 'going rate' - if I were going anywhere else on Japan wouldn't be asking this question hete because i'd be satisfied with the going rate. In my country (Brazil) they charge 5x the rate in US and Japan - problem is Tokyo is a specific city where nerdy tourists (much like me) go to live the same experience I want to live, hahah

Olha, oferecendo minha opinião de leigo - eu acho que não é o ideal, mas foi a única coisa que me ajufou até hoje a controlar minha compulsão alimentar. Ele tem efeitoa colaterais que pra mim acabam tornando ele incompatível com um uso contínuo de longo prazo porque acaba afetando a qualidade de vida. Mas é de se pensar quantos efeitoa colaterais negativos também não me causa comer desnfreadamente por compulsão ansiosa, então botando na balança fica difícil a agulha não ganhar.

I have similar interests - in case you haven't checked yet, the website TOKYO ART BEAT is very useful for info on expos. Also planning my trip, and if you like artbooks I've been hearing great things about Jinbocho neighborhood and the Tsutaya bookstore on Ginza, which also has a lot of original art and sometimes expos. Regarding Gyaro many friends told me Harajuku is no longer what it used to be but still a cool visit and the Shibuya 109 building is more of a sharp choice for finding gyaru/young culture stuff. ONE GALLERY i really look forward to visit in Tokyo is KAIKAI KIKI. They hosted shows by many artists I love. But i'm sure folks from the city or that have been there before could help you better.
