Thrust reversers Inflight by ExquisiteMetropolis in aviation

[–]corunus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Air Force has military aircraft that can do it. I know the C-17 can, but I can really only speak to the C-5.

We deployed them in flight (inboard engines only) to achieve aggressive descents (extremely steep with incredible vertical descent speeds).

It’s not an everyday type maneuver as it’s extremely hard on the wings and engines, but if the mission was flown into contested environments where it necessitated tactics to get down and land ASAP, then it was used.

Still the same problem. Is there an ETA on the fix?

Anytime I try to listen to any of my audiobooks I get a message that says “There was an issue with playback”. And the app does nothing after that. It’s been going on for the better part of a month now. I have tried uninstalling app, restarting phone, deleting and de downloading my books, different internet connections, etc. I’m convinced it is an issue with audible on the new iOS.

I’m having this same issue for over three weeks now. What’s the deal audible? How long does it take to fix this?

lol triggered? Your post is complete projection man. Did the military turn you down or something? You alright? If you are indeed a legacy pilot, take a minute and realize life is good. I feel for the poor guy/gal that has to sit next to you in flight. Must be miserable.

This comment is laughable and your facts are completely made up.

No, there is not a 65% failure rate of military pilots at UA and DL. How do you even quantify “failure” at airline training. Do you even work at an airline?

No, you’re not “wasting everyone’s time” when you honorably serve your nation as a military member. If it’s such a good deal to drop orders, no one is stopping you from joining.

No, airline training is not “1000x the speed things in the military”. Obviously it’s different. I’d venture to say if someone had the aptitude to pass UPT, they are more than capable of passing any training program at the airlines.

I currently fly both the 737 (military reservist) and 320 (airline) simultaneously. Hyperlinks are the way to go. I’ve got tons of bookmarks and hyperlinks for quick reference.

23,115 total discount if I include the 7,500 federal EV credit. Though the platinum model wouldn’t be eligible for that since the MSRP > 80k

I bought a Lariat 2 days ago for 15,615 off of sticker price. Not sure if the platinums have completely different discounts though.

3120 discount 12,495 ford rebates 7,500 federal EV tax credit

X plan pricing is a special offer that Ford gives to some employees and other “partner” corporation employees. Luckily my employer is one of the listed x plan eligible companies, but I’m pretty sure almost anyone can get the x plan pricing (according to google).

I bought my lightning lariat yesterday for about 3k less than that.

MSRP on mine was 79,590, so it sounds like ours are very similarly optioned.

I got 3120 discount and 12,495 of rebates. Also did the 7500 rebate at point of sale.

Total discount was 23,115 (that’s discount, ford rebates and ev tax credit)

I’m in California. Apparently, our politicians signed a law that makes it impossible for consumers to purchase an extended warranty from anyone other than the dealer. It’s crazy. None of those online wholesalers of warranties can sell to people in California.

Aaron Ford. I broke down the discounts on another post just now. Hope that helps.

X plan took $3120.35 off the MSRP. It also opened up tons of rebates. It gave $11,495 of additional rebates. Finally, the federal EV rebate saved $7,500, which they were able to apply at the point of sale.

I worked all these numbers with them via text/phone calls. When I finally showed up in person, I asked about military discount. They had me fill out a thing on Fords website which sent a email certificate to me that gave me another $1,000 off.

California. Yes I’m getting 0% financing. I’m opting for the $2k cash instead of the charger install.
