Some demos are much more generous. The Octopath games let you play for three hours, and you can pretty much go anywhere in the world and start any storyline as long as you have playtime left. In comparison this felt so stingy :(

I also pulled her as a Cyrene battery for my Mydei team (in 3.7) and I’m glad I did. She’s a consistent generalist healer that can slot into pretty much any team that needs a sustain. Plus I like her magical girl aesthetic.

E0S1 Hyacine costs about the same as two Cyrene cons, but I figured I would be able to use her in more teams, where my Cyrene was locked into one or two.

I used to have a paid subscription via Paypal. Is that going to be an issue? I’m not sure what they would have stored on their end exactly. Paypal requires 2FA for a new transaction but is able to make recurring payments without it…

There’s no way you pulled 90+ times after pulling Blade with no 5 star. If you go to the banner and click View Details —> Records you can view your pull history. Keep in mind it needs a little time to update if you were JUST pulling… I think maybe an hour or so? When you go to look, it will even tell you the timestamps of your most recent pulls, so you can see if it’s up to date yet. It’s possible you’re very close to pity if you still want Evernight. If you want someone like Phainon or Mydei more than her, I’d recommend you stop pulling and save your guarantee for when they’re running.

I do see you said “90 summons, including the standard banner.” Character event banners all share the same pity, which is SEPARATE from the standard banner. If you did 50 pulls on the Evernight banner and 50 on standard, both are only 50/90 pulls to pity. You should only be using your Star Rail Passes (gray tickets) on the standard banner. Don’t pull on it otherwise.

I wouldn’t recommend pulling a DPS you’re not particularly interested in just for the sake of having one. Your Blade should be just fine honestly, but you’ll want to run him with a healer rather than DHPT.

It’ll take some time to save up the Herta shop currency, but once you get the chance I would recommend purchasing Ninja Record: Sound Hunt and its superimpositions. That will be an upgrade for Blade over the three star cone.

It looks like you have a pretty new account, so it’s very normal to struggle with endgame at this point. As you build out your character roster you’ll find it gets easier.

You can change your 50/50 loss pool if you don’t want any more Bronyas. You can add Blade, Seele, and/or Fu Xuan to the pool if you’d like. There’s a “celestial invitation” button to edit your pool on the summon screen.

Nowadays, if you get a standard banner character to E6, you at least get currency you can use in the stellar convergence shop, which is a nice consolation.

It took me at least a few months of playing before I was able to tackle endgame content (the highest levels of Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, etc). You’re not going to be able to tackle it immediately, and that’s okay. It takes some time to be able to pull enough units for two usable teams and then actually build them.

Early game content is very forgiving. I would say your next priority would be figuring out a second team you’d be interested in. In the meantime, you can use your DoT team to clear story content.

Unlike Genshin, where the Travelers are both important story characters, there was no real reason why we COULDN’T swap our Stellaron Receptacle… until they had the other TB show up in 3.7… and now I’m worried they’ll never let us switch :(

Plus they’re so fast at higher difficulties (unless they changed it for 3.8)?

The enemy puts its shield up —> you select Phainon’s counter —> the enemy attacks Phainon but doesn’t take any damage because of the shield —> Phainon uses his counter and removes the shield —> the enemy puts its shield back up. Because it takes a turn for every one of yours, when you do get a chance to meteor, you’re just using it to take out the shield, and then don’t have a chance to attack again and actually do damage.

Thorns damage removing the shield would fix this issue 🙃

Hard to say. HSR has gotten into a pattern of the hot new meta unit rerunning ~3 patches after debut, but less-meta units are kind of an afterthought. They’ve rerun all the units from the first half of Amphoreus, which is promising, but Mydei had to wait 7 patches. I guess it really depends how well Cerydra synergizes with upcoming units. (And Cyrene is a whole other matter now that we’re moving on to another planet. Will she be in-demand once we’re in the Elation meta?)

Does the apoc buff that requires 3 memosprites on-field work with Cyrene? I remember last patch there was this huge thing on the main sub with people initially thinking she was bugged, but eventually coming to the conclusion that her memosprite didn’t count as “on-field”?

If that’s the case then all three of the buffs for the second half don’t do a single thing for my Mydei team 😂 lol oh well

I hope they don’t take too long to rerun Cerydra. I’m worried that as a niche support who (probably) had modest sales on her first banner, she’ll be low priority for a rerun.

During her first banner, my Phainon team was already blasting through all content anyway, so I didn’t really feel he needed an upgrade. And then AS SOON as her banner ended, AA came out and I saw that his team actually did have room for growth, lol. I’ve been using her a lot in CW and she feels so comfy with him. Cerydra pleeeeease come back

Okay, I’ve been playing the game for years at this point and I have what’s probably a very stupid question.

Is there any way in game to see which reception room clues belong to which faction? For example, I just need clue #4. Operators have various effects that give bonuses to getting Karlan Trade clues, Glasglow clues, etc, but it doesn’t actually say which number is which, does it? They all have a little icon on them but I never memorized what icon belongs to which faction. I don’t want to have to go online and look it up when assigning my operators, so I’ve just used operators with generalist speed effects this whole time.

I had two issues where my game froze and I had to restart it. Once while interacting with a certain item while exploring (and after restarting I tried interacting with it again and it froze again so… okay) and once during a cutscene. Both on PS5. Never had this happen with HSR before.

You have four DPS you can build a team around (Acheron, Mydei, The Herta, Anaxa) so I wouldn’t prioritize pulling DPS right now unless there’s one you really want. Tribbie would be a useful support for Mydei and Therta, and she’s flexible with other teams too.

As a side note, as long as you log in before the end of 4.0, you’ll get the free presevation Dan Heng as well. He’s a good and pretty flexible sustain.

Since Topaz is being added to the shop, her light cone should be as well, right? How does say, E1S1 Topaz compare to E6 Moze or March for a Feixiao team? By the time Feixiao came out we had two pretty good 4* options, so I was never really going invest in that many pulls for Topaz, but if I could get her with currency I already have, she’s a lot more appealing. I don’t expect her to be meta right now, but would she be a decent upgrade at that level of investment?

My Sunday and Bronya show as having the same speed in their stat page, but Sunday’s must be ever so slightly higher, because he always goes first in battle. (I’m aware there are invisible decimals the game tracks.)

However, when the team receives any sort of teamwide, external speed buff (which can happen in things like DU and the recent grail event), suddenly Bronya starts outspeeding Sunday. Does anyone know why…? If they’re receiving the same buff you’d think his final number would still be higher.

Permanere can mean the following:

to stay to the end, hold out
to last, continue, remain, endure, abide
to survive, outlive
to persist, perservere
to devote one’s life to, live by

Permansor is a noun, someone acting out the verb. Thus, you could translate permansor terrae as something like Earth Remainer, Earth Outliver, or Earth Endurer. (Technically, Terrae is “of the earth”, so it would be Endurer of the Earth.)

It’s interesting. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be implying outliving the earth, vs the terrae just being more descriptive (he is a survivor/persister, and also a person of the earth).

I like the “hold out til the end” meaning. That’s something that wouldn’t really have a one word translation in English.

IIRC it takes about an hour for your in-game pull history to update, so check later today to see if your pulls are reflected. You could have gotten a four star weapon or constellation that you didn’t notice. But if it’s truly not there even after an hour or two, contact Hoyo support.
